Heroes of the Pacific: A bit lost in the WW2 Pacific environment, this P80s only real competitor in this game is the Me262!
No missions are given for these prototype aircraft in the game, which is a shame, so you are left with re-playing standard missions with them - which makes the game very, very easy even on the ACE setting.

An old favourite of mine, played this for many many hours over the years! It's a real classic old school computer game, hard disk of course!

Mutual support in armour is important - and you should choose the Engineer class so you can repair one another.
Here my team-mate Magnus and I are on our way to take a flag (Dragon Valley), but at this point we have no AA defence to protect us, so it is a bit of a race to get to our objective before the enemy aircraft spot us! (Don't expect your own air jockeys to provide air cover - they are always far too interested in racking up their own points to do what they should be doing.)
I have seen some very large convoys during my time playing BF2 - but the larger the convoy the bigger target it is for enemy bombers and the dreaded attack helicopters. But on certain maps you can get quite a momentum going with a combined arms armoured convoy - on the Chinese map 'Songhua Stalemate' I have seen up to seven vehicles driving round together taking one flag after another!
But two engineer equipped pieces of armour is a very formidable pairing and you can usually rack up some points in an attack or defence of a flag (just remember that your mobility is important, so it's best if you have some infantry with you to actually take flags).
Not such great games though - Dragon Ball something or another (which I didn`t get to play as it was hogged by some blond American boy) and Aquanauts Holiday (which seemed a tad pointless but pretty). Sony need to diversify away from Aquariums though!!!
Heroes of the Pacific: The earlier Mustangs were not so pretty - the bubble canopy yet to come.

I don’t play any card games, or board games.

Farmville 2 is my current favorite game. I know, a total mindless game. But sometimes you have to be able to just do something mindless to help forget about all the bad news in the world or issues in your own life.
Deb doesn’t like to watch TV so it isn’t on much in our house. But she likes Farmville too.

I rather liked these very nice painted screens that played between sequences in Americas Army 3. They were all very well painted...
They don't actually lend anything to the game,but are well done none the less.

Back in the 1980s I cut my computing teeth on the BBC Microcomputer for both work and play.
Despite the limitations of its graphics it was exciting to pilot the Spitfire for landings and take-off, fly under the bridge and through the high-rise buildings of Acornsville.
Initially the game had to be loaded via a Compact Cassette and flying with the keyboard buttons was very difficult.
The Voltmace joystick made flying very much easier.
Over the next 40 years I mastered Photoshop, Video editing and 3D computer imaging. Graphic quality and rendering speeds improved exponentially. Recently I was blown away by the capability of games on the Xbox Series X.
I fulfilled my ambition to set foot on all seven continents many years ago. Now that my wings have been clipped by age and health insurance issues I can at least fly my own planes on virtual visits.
Whilst the nearest that I have gone into space was watching a Space Shuttle take off from Cape Canaveral my journeys are now limitless.
We seem to be being attacked by a fleet of cardboard cut-outs!
Polygon graphics on the Atary ST - cutting edge stuff (at the time, 1990).
Strange how I seem to remember this game being oh so 'realistic' - LOL!
