2) Deadline for photo submission is Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 5pm (Pacific Time).
3) Please submit only original photos that you have taken. Do not use any copyrighted material. Make sure that people in your photos have given you permission to use them. We do not accept any liability for any photo submitted to the contest.
4) We reserve the right to use your photo elsewhere on our Facebook Page, website, or promotional materials.
5) Winnie will collect all photos and ask the Winster community to vote for their favorite photo.
6) The TOP 3 photos that receive the most votes will each receive a one-month Winster Gold Membership and five Winster Gift Shop Coupons. If a winner is already a member of any status (Basic, Silver, Gold), we will credit their account $9.99.
7) Winners will be announced in Winnie's World Newsletter, scheduled to be distributed on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.

My all time favourite fighter - the American P-40. This is the fighter you first start out in when playing Heroes of the Pacific and it's only armed with machine-guns. But I like the clean looks this gives.
The famous sharks teeth nose-art of the Warhawk was first used by the RAF in the desert air force of North Africa. Recognizing a good thing when they saw it the America Warhawk pilots borrowed the idea for their P-40s.

My nephew Charlie is Mario crazy. I wanted to do him a drawing as I love the imagery of the videogames. I took inspiration for this from the cover of the Gameboy game "super Mario land" I completed it on a2 paper using first pencils, then went over the top with gouache paint. then I outlined everything in black fine liner. I touched it up afterwards in photoshop.

Now I had never heard of this tank before I played this game, and to me it looks just like an early T34. Well, that's perhaps not surprising because this prototype was a competitor to the T30 in Soviet army trials. In the end the T30 was accepted and became the T34 and the rest is history, as they say!
However, this is a smashing little scout, it's phenomenally fast and can mount a handy little automatic cannon. Sure you can' do loads of damage and you are bate for the big boys, but scouting is really fun and you can (if lucky) run rings round those lumbering giants, all the while spotting them for the rest of your team - much to their annoyance!
I have found that I can actually pick up a decent enough score in this scout, even it I just occasionally dink the enemy - but most of the time its all about dashing about from cover to cover exposing the enemy positions.
What I have started doing is to explore the different tank classes to see what they can do and at the same time build up a small range of types in my garage. In this way I can tailor my game to whomever I am playing with - as well as get a bit of welcome variety into the game. What my friends and I are trying to do is play together with roughly the same class or level of tank so that we aren't so outclassed due to the games sometimes wacky balancing - there isn't much fun in being a level III scout up against a horde of level VIII titans!

This is my Christmas gift to my brother, he'll love it. We've both played earlier versions of Red Alert, as well as others in the Command & Conquer series. That's Natasha, a Soviet commado, on the cover.
Updated 12/25: We've installed it on his computer, and are playing it. George Takei and Tim Curry are the Japanese Emperor and Soviet Premier in the game.

Heroes of the Pacific: Just plain pretty!
The Mk VI is the final unlock of the Tempest type in the game and comes in this rather spiffing desert camo scheme. Quite what a desert Tempest is doing in the Pacific I don't quite know, but who cares - she's lovely!
