Captured this while waiting to start on a job. Condensation of the morning dew on an air con compressor
Continuing my Quincy Smelter series: this is a detail of a wheel on a machine which was part of a steam engine. Notice the details on the spokes of the wheel -- totally unnecessary, but very striking.

Mini fridge, purchased used for $10. I grabbed the compressor out of this to build a home-made vacuum investing machine.
Experimental compressor design which injects the control voltage into the screen of an ef86 pentode. As yet completely untested, use at your own risk. No liability assumed here, yada yada.

Compressors, two inside the ruins of the old building, and two outside, at the Greenhill Mine Site in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. These machines provided a supply of fresh air into the nearby underground coal mine.

Main characters:
1.The power head has high power vibration on the top element. It can achieve the effect of impact drilling without DTH hammer or air compressor. Finish the hole with high efficiency and good effect.

The AK is the Canadian General Electric version of the U.S. CK.
Used in the 1935, 1936 models. Filled with SO2 and operating at a higher pressure than the CA models. Externally, appearances are similar, but internally quite different.

Two things happened in the last week. 1. I saw a wonderful presentation on Abstract Photography. 2. I took a photo trip to San Francisco & Marin Co. with that presentation on my mind.
One stop on the trip was the Marin Headlands which is in the Golden Gate Recreation Area administered by the National Park Service. It is the Northern Shoreline of The Golden Gate entrance to SF Bay. A former military installation to protect the Golden Gate from invading ships there are several sites that were cannon batteries. These bunkers are above & below ground built to contain the big guns. Now this one serves as a graffiti gallery.
