LA CHALEUR DU MOIS D’AOÛT 2025 -
La semaine qui s’annonce sera chaude…
Avec ces températures, il vaut mieux être sur la plage ou à l’intérieur.
Personnellement, pour me garder au frais dans le hamac sous l’ombre des arbres près de la plage, j’ai fouillé internet sur le site du Time magazine et j’ai réussi à mettre la main sur une édition du magazine TIME avec en page couverture Giorgia Meloni. Il faut comprendre que TIME magazine publie plusieurs variations de sa première page selon les pays.
Mais après quelques recherches, j’ai pu obtenir un exemplaire avec Giorgia en page couverture...
Dès l’automne au retour en ville, je vais l’encadrer et la placer dans ma bibliothèque à côté de la page couverture de la Personnalité de l’année 2024, mon ami Donald...

The coming week will be hot...
With these temperatures, it's better to be on the beach or indoors.
Personally, to keep cool in my hammock under the shade of the trees near the beach, I searched the internet on the Time magazine website and managed to get my hands on an issue of TIME magazine with Giorgia Meloni on the cover. It's important to understand that TIME magazine publishes several variations of its front page depending on the country.
But after some research, I was able to get a copy with Giorgia on the cover...
When I return to the city in the fall, I will frame it and place it in my library next to the cover of the 2024 Person of the Year, my friend Donald...

H.E Richard Bell, the new US ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, paid October 22, 2019, a courtesy visit to Bishop Benjamin Boni, of the Côte d'Ivoire United Methodist Church and his cabinet members. The Special Envoy wanted to introduce himself and have an open channel of communication with faith-based organizations' leaders concerning the freedom of religion, interfaith dialogue, and support to the upcoming 2020 general elections. The move can "help the embassy to explain the truth of the situation better and understand how we can support the right initiatives while respecting that country's sovereignty," the ambassador said.
S.E.M. Richard Bell, le nouvel ambassadeur des Etats-Unis en Côte d'Ivoire, a effectué le 22 octobre 2019 une visite de courtoisie à l’évêque Benjamin Boni, de l'Église Méthodiste Unie-Côte d'Ivoire. L'Envoyé Spécial souhaitait se présenter et disposer d'un canal de communication ouvert avec les dirigeants des organisations confessionnelles concernant la liberté de religion, le dialogue interconfessionnel et le soutien aux prochaines élections générales de 2020. Cette initiative peut « aider l'ambassade à mieux expliquer la vérité sur la situation et à comprendre comment nous pouvons soutenir les bonnes initiatives tout en respectant la souveraineté de ce pays, » a déclaré l'ambassadeur.

LE THÉÂTRE DE LA POLITIQUE -
Michael Ignatieff écrit dans son livre, à la fois autobiographie et essai, FIRE AND ASHES publié en 2013:
"... La politique est un mirage loin de la réalité et tout se joue sur une scène..."
Quiconque s’intéresse à la campagne électorale canadienne devrait lire l’ouvrage d’Ignatieff. En ce qui me concerne, c’est mon livre de chevet d’ici le 28 avril…
On pourrait dire que la politique, peu importe laquelle et partout sur la planète, est dominée par une forme de «manipulation» qu’il est impossible de contourner.
Triste constat mais la réalité est ce qu’elle est…
Nous sommes des spectateurs dans un théâtre d'une télé-réalité observant les politiciens; un peu comme des chats le font devant des chevaux...
La solution: ne pas être trop naïf et écouter son instinct lors de son vote!
Lire l’ouvrage d’Ignatieff est une façon de mieux comprendre la réalité de la politique canadienne.

Anyone interested in the Canadian election campaign should read Ignatieff's book. As far as I'm concerned, it's my bedside book between now and April 28...
It could be said that politics, of any kind and anywhere on the planet, is dominated by a form of “manipulation” that is impossible to circumvent.
A sad observation, but it is what it is...
We are spectators in a reality TV theater watching politicians; like cats are doing in front of horses...
The solution: don't be too naive, and listen to your instincts when you vote!
Reading Ignatieff's book is one way to better understand the reality of Canadian politics.

DONALD TRUMP'S INTELLIGENCE?

I was recently asked whether I consider Donald Trump to be more intelligent than the average person...
Donald is very intelligent, but his exceptional characteristics lie in his character.
In my observation, Donald Trump has a few unique aspects to his character, the very first of which is his great self-confidence.
Then there's his profound determination never to give up when faced with an obstacle. Rare is a human being who can resist contradictory events in his life the way Trump can. The theory of Norman Vincent Peale directly inspires these two behaviors, a theory presented in the book The Power of Positive Thinking. Peale was the Protestant minister for Donald's father's family.
A third characteristic of Donald Trump is his great ability to understand the social environment around him and then communicate and impose his message on that environment.
In the end, you could also say that he's a very lucky man... Luck in life is everything!
As for the rest of the story, it is to be continued!

L'INTELLIGENCE DE DONALD TRUMP ?

On me demandait récemment si je considère Donald Trump comme étant un être plus intelligent que la moyenne…
Donald est très intelligent, mais ses particularités d'exception sont dans son caractère.
Selon mon observation, Donald Trump à quelques aspects de caractère bien unique et la toute première est sa grande confiance en lui. Il faut ajouter ensuite sa profonde détermination à ne jamais abandonner devant un obstacle.
Rare sont les humains capables de résister comme le fait Trump devant des événements contradictoires de sa vie.
Ces deux comportements sont inspirés directement de la théorie de Norman Vincent Peald, théorie présentée dans le livre:
Le pouvoir de la pensée positive. Peale était le pasteur protestant de la famille du père de Donald.
Une troisième particularité de Donald Trump est sa grande capacité à comprendre l’environnement de société autour de lui pour ensuite communiquer et imposer son message à cette société.
Enfin au final, on peut dire aussi qu'il est un homme très chanceux… Dans la vie, la chance décide de tout!

Com a bon cap que és, treballa moltíssimes hores i arriba a casa molt tard. Sempre amb les mans molt ocupades i amb cara de cansat obre la porta de casa esperant descansar. És massa perfeccionista i fins que no ho té tot acabat i controlat no es queda satisfet.
Sort que quan arriba està la seva estimada dona per escoltar-lo, i per entendre'l, perquè a vegades és complicat comprendre la seva actitud. Necessita unes bones vacances!

LA POLITIQUE MODERNE ET L’INTELLIGENCE ARTIFICIELLE -

Je viens de terminer la lecture du nouvel ouvrage de Giuliano Da Empoli: L’HEURE DES PRÉDATEURS.
Si vous voulez tout comprendre de notre époque actuelle et de ses bouleversements de société, c’est le livre qu’il vous faut lire.
Da Empoli présente une analyse totalement sur la cible du style de gestion des Donald Trump, Nayib Bukele (El Salvador), Giorgia Meloni (Italie), etc.
Nous sommes dans une période de révolution anti-traditionnelle partout sur la planète et l’Intelligence artificielle est venue renforcer et favoriser cette révolution.
Il existe présentement une guerre entre les institutions traditionnelles d'autrefois souvent dominées par des élites "légales" ou "avocats" symbolisant la classe politique réglementaire, et les nouveaux leaders politiques et technologiques (Trump, Bukele, Meloni, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg,Tim Cook, etc.) qui rejettent les règles traditionnelles.
Il y a tout lieu de croire que le renversement des valeurs d’autrefois ira en augmentant en accord avec l’évolution actuelle de l’Intelligence artificielle (IA).
L’ouvrage de Da Empoli est à lire!

I've just finished reading Giuliano Da Empoli's new book: THE TIME OF THE PREDATORS.
If you want to understand everything about our current era and its societal upheavals, this is the book you need to read.
Da Empoli presents a totally on-target analysis of the political style of Donald Trump, Nayib Bukele (El Salvador), Giorgia Meloni (Italy), and others. We are in a period of anti-traditional revolution all over the planet, and Artificial Intelligence has come to reinforce and foster this revolution.
There is currently a war going on between the traditional institutions of yesteryear, often dominated by “legal” elites or “lawyers” symbolizing the regulatory political class, and the new political and technological leaders (Trump, Bukele, Meloni, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, etc.) who reject the traditional rules.
There is every reason to believe that the reversal of old values will increase in line with the current evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Da Empoli's book is a must-read!
Note: The book is currently only available in French, but an English version is scheduled for publication in October.
