Since I dont own a single mug with words, I had to improvise ... Luckly we went to visite a X-Mas market this weekend, and guess what ? They had promotional mugs ! With words !! Perfect for Smile on saturday Group, the theme is : Mugs with words. HSoS !!! And thank you for your support !!
The yellow grass (at this time of the year), green bushes, brown trees and the reddish soil at the Tsavo National Park create a very interesting and earthy palette of colors for photography. The zebras with their high contrast, black and white patterns fit very nicely into this palette, and open the door to an endless number of different compositional possibilities.

Μισό το καλοκαίρι στα χέρια μου κι αν με μισεί, το υπόλοιπο δικό της σκέφτομαι ως εξαρτημένος της.
Περνώ και ξαναπερνώ απ'τη γλυκιά γωνιά της, και το παραθύρι μισάνοιχτο το βρίσκω γυμνό του ανέμου.
Κουρτίνες δεν έχει να κρύβουν το κορμί της, κι αν είμαι τυχερός την πλάτη της θα βρω γυρισμένη κατάλευκη.
Τόσο λευκή που σαν κουρτίνα μοιάζει, και τα μυστικά της κρυμμένα στα μαλλιά της όπως τα διπλώνει έτσι παράξενα.
Του απογεύματος η προχειρότητα και μουσική σιγανά να ακούει κάθε φορά, προκειμένου πιστεύω να ακούει και τη γειτονιά.
Πώς αλλιώς να λάβω το γεγονός της σιωπής της σαν περπατά στο δρόμο, και που μόνο στο κινητό της μιλά χαμογελώντας.
Κάθε απόγευμα περνώ κοιτώ ακούω σκέφτομαι χαζεύω ονειρεύομαι, και ότι άλλο βάλει ο νους σας του έρωτα.
Η γλυκιά γωνία πάντως ήσυχη είναι και σε προϊδεάζει κάθε φορά, μήπως και κάτι παραπάνω ακούσω κρυφακούσω κτλ.
Μα τίποτα κάθε φορά και το μόνο που σκέφτομαι, είναι η επόμενη ημέρα που θα περάσω κάτι να βρω να κολλήσω έστω λίγο παραπάνω.
Προχθές παγωτό πήρα στο χέρι και στάθηκα σκοπίμως σχεδόν στην πόρτα της, ώστε να το απολαύσω όπως όταν την κοιτώ.
Αδυναμία μου θαρρώ πως είναι κι ας μην το παραδέχομαι, όπως οι περισσότεροι εγωιστές φυσικά ξεροκέφαλοι άνδρες κτλ.
Άπιστοι μέχρι να βρούνε το ταίρι τους, μα και όταν το βρούνε απλώς δεν μπορούνε να ξεπεράσουν τον εγωισμό τους.
Πάντως τον εγωισμό μου τον ξεπέρασα σαν κύμα έστω κι αργοπορημένα, και τώρα κάτω από το παραθύρι της σταλάζω τρώγοντας παγωτό.
Παγωτό καϊμάκι ξανά όπως πέρυσι που πέρναγα, μα ποτέ δεν σταματούσα μήπως με δει τι κάνω αν παράξενα την κοιτάξω κτλ.
Έστω την πλάτη της να δω και θα φύγω, κάτι να έχω κατά νου για το σπίτι καθώς θα επιστρέφω και αύριο ξανά εδώ.
Συμφορά μου κι αν δεν την δω, και τότε το βράδυ με πιάνει να περιμένω έστω το Φώς στο δωμάτιο της να δω να ξεφύγω απ΄το γυμνό.

An avant-garde painter,pastelist,and printmaker Mary Cassatt occupies a unique place in the history of American art.Her early alliance with the French Impressionists established her reputation as one of the America's leading nineteenth century artists.The subject of this refined pastel is the one that Cassatt made famous-the intimate engagement of a young woman (often a mother) and a child.Working in series,like French colleagues,Cassatt embraced the medium of pastel throughout the 1880s and 1890s.Her large bold drawings are as ambitious as her paintings,but they incorporate and even more dazzling palette and greater spatial daring.This latter example is more resolved in form than some of her sketch-like compositions,if equally immediate in its aesthetic and emotional freshness
Monument to the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. Many consider that the best monument to perpetuate among other ones of the poet. Besides the main figure on the top of the composition, poet also depicted in soldier's uniform in the center of the sculptural group surrounding the monument.
Happy 20th birthday to Hubble’s Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS)! In February 1997, astronauts installed STIS on the telescope during the second servicing mission. The highly versatile and productive instrument combines a camera with a spectrograph, which separates light into its component colors—or wavelengths — to provide a “fingerprint” of the object being observed. This tells us about the object’s temperature, chemical composition, density, and motion. Spectrographic observations also reveal changes in celestial objects as the universe evolves. STIS has also pioneered the field of high-contrast imaging—the art of capturing faint objects (such as planets, disks, and outflowing jets) next to very bright ones (such as the stars they accompany). The instrument is sensitive to a wide range of wavelengths of light, from ultraviolet through the optical and into the near-infrared. STIS science has illuminated a multitude of different astronomical topics. Below are some examples, but this is not meant to be an exhaustive list.
