This Animated line is a labor or fragile love. Great concept, but terrible, terrible execution. The plastic they used so far has been garbage. If you get'em, handle only with care.
In Mathematics, if two lines are PARALLEL, they do not meet each other, or do NOT TOUCH each other.
If we defined "ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP" as "touching someone's heart," then there wasn't such a relationship when a couple's hearts were not touching. So, can we say "the relationship is parallel?"
If it is so, this image represents a COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP with THREE people.
After several months full of work, I finally managed to finish my inn. I must admit that the whole MOC was quite complicated, but at the same time really enjoyable. The project was a based on the concept art made by Ekaterina Kotovskaya, the artist whose works you can check out on her Instagram account. The construction of this MOC was also inspired by the amazing bakery made by Dan The Fan. You should definitely visit the profiles of the creators mentioned above, because what they do is truly beautiful and inspiring. I'd also like to thank each and everyone for very useful advices throughout the building proces.. Let me know what do you think about it and see you in the next one folks :)
A new year.. and way past time to update my profile pic. Just keeping it simple. Maybe that's my new year's resolution. .. I've had enough of complicated.
I like the roundness of these stones. Nothing too complicated in this structure though the third stone up rests on it's weight sitting in a small niche, with the top stones keeping it weighted and angled in the right direction.
A very gusty morning, so not the easiest time to balance stones.
Shortly after I'd photographed this the rain came down and lasted all day.
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

This week's theme is Contre-jour, which was difficult given the week of rain and cloud cover. This photo was actually shot directly into sunlight. It did limit how long of an LE I could do, but no pretty starbursts or warm light were going to happen this shoot. Instead I went for a high key LE (which is I think is actually opposite what many contre-jour photos do... I think often they go for low key silhouetting but high key worked best in this one). This one actually came out as I imagined it when I took it which is always satisfying!

Krewe of Zulu Mardi Gras Parade, 2009. New Orleans Louisiana.
Early in 1909, a group of laborers who had organized a club named "The Tramps," went to the Pythian Theater to see a musical comedy performed by the Smart Set. The comedy included a skit entitled, "There Never Was and Never Will Be a King Like Me," about the Zulu Tribe...
That is how Zulu began, as the many stories go...
Years of extensive research by Zulu's Historian staff seem to indicate that Zulu's beginning was much more complicated than that. The earliest signs of organization came from the fact that the majority of these men belonged to a Benevolent Aid Society. Benevolent Societies were the first forms of insurance in the Black community where, for a small amount of dues, members received financial help when sick or financial aid when burying deceased members.
Conversations and interviews with older members also indicate that in that era the city was divided into wards, and each ward had its own group or "Club." The Tramps were one such group. After seeing the skit, they retired to their meeting place (a room in the rear of a restaurant/bar in the 1100 block of Perdido Street), and emerged as Zulus. This group was probably made up of members from the Tramps, the Benevolent Aid Society and other ward-based groups.
While the "Group" marched in Mardi Gras as early as 1901, their first appearance as Zulus came in 1909, with William Story as King.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
. . . but interesting . . . this process of creating a triptych. So many things to consider in terms of relating three compositions and palettes. The paintings are only 4" square, which is why I decided to paint bird "portraits," thinking close-ups would have greater impact. I did little thumbnail sketches, and that's been somewhat helpful. Anyhow, the intention is that this is the second of my series of three.
Here is the first:
This shot is one of the extremely rare shots where I do almost no editing at all. My editing flow isn't terribly complicated, to begin with, but this shot was pretty much "done" by the camera alone. I made a slight crop and a minimal vibrance boost and that's it. I wish every bird outing yielded shots like this. :-)

Now in summer mountain sports are usually a little more complicated than in spring or autumn/winter. The high temperatures and the high risk of thunderstorms almost every day force us to plan our tours intensively and study the weather maps/models.
Above the tree line, the high UV radiation and high temperatures should never be underestimated. Sufficient water (usually 4 liters of water for Sam and me in the summer) should ALWAYS be carried.
Often we have to reschedule spontaneously, but most of the time we just choose a tour early in the morning like in these pictures.
I love having fresh fruit in the house. Yesterday while toiling over a complicated dinner for the kids birthday, this little green gem begged me to take a snap of him. I placed him on a wooden bench I made about 15 years ago and shot it against a red comforter. A very quick run through Adobe Lightroom and this is what I got! I love Lightroom.
See every little bump and flaw.
Pretty cool onblack!
