Dandelion abstract (only it's real).

HAPPY TUESDAY'S TEXTURES !

Here is another one of my "abstract reality" images. Again, it shows details from the saw-cut surface of a tree log. It was in the same pile of logs as the one I posted yesterday:

"It's Even More Complicated" because there are even more competing patterns and textures than in yesterday's image.

Location: Pile of logs cut either by the local official forester (der Förster), or someone authorized by him, in the woods between Riehen and Bettingen BS Switzerland.

In my album: Dan's Patterns: Wood.

This was a photo taken on a bridge in Tbilisi, Georgia. The photo on the bridge was just that of the woman. The fencing is a reflection of the bridge while the silhouetted hand is that of a child reaching towards the image. Three unusual components that I'm sure the original photographer had no idea what would evolve from that capture.

Sometimes there is no complicated story, it’s just all about the image

OK, probably not for the captain who navigated this boat through the Spree and Landwehrkanal on a wonderful birthday "Bridge Tour" eight (!) years ago.

I posted photos from this tour long ago (please check my album, if you like) but only images I had taken with my vintage 50mm Zuiko lens. During the second half of that tour, I'd used my 17mm lens – a lens that (hard to believe) has been sleeping in one of my photo gear drawers ever since because I'd never quite warmed up to it. I can't quite pin down why exactly, maybe I couldn't handle the focal length of 35mm equivalent, or maybe I didn't like the colours, or maybe both... But when I flipped through the "Bridge Tour" folder only yesterday, I realised, to my great surprise, that the m.zuiko 17mm F1.8 images are actually pretty nice, and that the lens renders beautifully crisp and sharp images, with good colours as well. So one thing is sure: This lens hasn't gotten enough love so far, and I will now change this ;)

Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone!

Sometimes ordinary sunlight can "show" the shape, volume, and texture of the object being photographed...

One of the more complicated selfies I've ever taken. Purely accidental - had no idea I was in the picture until much later.

Yeah I pretty much am.

Sorry for the maths - I hope it doesn't get to complicated :)

This got complicated! The base photo was the one I posted 4 spots back about a week ago. Used normal oil painting effect at 75% and then Adobe photoshop express paper effect PA27. To make tonight’s effort, I made 4 individual collages using Adobe photoshop express reflection effect RE1 and RE3 plus Adobe photoshop express pinboard effect PI1 and PI3. Then used BeFunky collage software to make the 4 into one collage. (The reflection ones are top left and bottom right, pinboard are the others.)

So many hands left their mark on this wall and window!

I took a short walk along the Waterfront Recreational Trail this afternoon and since we were in a lockdown I saw people entertaining themselves be throwing rocks on the icy lake, vying to see who could throw the farthest😊

Thanks to all who are making the sensible and caring decision to keep yourself and others safe. #BeKind

whimsical nature of Autumn

Our life became so complicated lately and we all need to remember about the quality of being kind, sincere and sympathetic towards others.

For this exhibition I made some photos that show a little bit of my true feelings and emotions that are very common for other people, I guess. Insecurity, fear, despair, hope, happiness... I show how some human creations express humanity more than people themselves. They transmit humanity to a human to remind them who they are...

I hope you like it.

Ever have a head corrupt? Avatar wise, let's not talk about real life atm...

My shape went bad it seemed, and would not adjust back the way I thought it should. So I grabbed a new and updated one, applied old shape, and it was soo bad. So today's photo is the rebuild. I tried to keep the old feel, and I was told by a trusted source I did accomplish that!

Photo itself is not the quality I wanted. I also did not want to redo it so I tried to salvage it. Maybe no one will notice what I did and that would be great, thanks ;)

The video is certainly about that mess. One change here, adjust 4 other things to try and balance, and back and forth. Hours. Thanks to those that had input and tried to help.

I have also loved this song since I first heard it. Man she is good! Have to admit too that some of the lyrics definitely apply to other situations, but that's getting better now.

Maybe another photo today to redeem myself and feel better about the photo, lol
