As obras do Complexo Viário do Beatriz atingiram mais uma etapa. Foi iniciada, nesta semana, a fase de concretagem da laje de transição do viaduto, passo importante na reestruturação de mobilidade de Contagem em um dos principais trechos de integração entre as regiões do município e cidades vizinhas.
As equipes de trabalho intensificaram a ampliação do viaduto sobre a Via Expressa, a execução das novas alças de acesso do elevado e também a pavimentação do novo traçado da avenida João César de Oliveira, que está sendo deslocada para a direita, no sentido Eldorado, para que o Terminal Sede do Sistema Integrado de Mobilidade – SIM, seja edificado onde, atualmente, ficam as faixas centrais do corredor.
O engenheiro e fiscal da obra do complexo, Ailton José de Paulo, detalhou as frentes que estão sendo realizadas neste momento e frisou os serviços complementares que são, paralelamente, executados no local para que o complexo tenha funcionalidade integral quando for entregue à população.
“Concomitantemente com o serviço de pavimentação do novo traçado da av. João César, no eixo-Sul, e a concretagem do elevado, estão sendo feitas as execuções das redes e dos equipamentos de drenagem, incluindo tubulação e também as sarjetas, boca de lobo, dreno profundo e superficial. Todo este serviço envolve a pavimentação, inclusive a urbanização, com meio-fio, passeio, rampa de acessibilidade. Tudo isso está sendo executado”, explicou.
A obra
O conjunto de benfeitorias no Complexo Viário do Beatriz inclui a ampliação dos dois viadutos, com quatro faixas no sentido Eldorado e três em direção à região Sede. Haverá ainda a implantação das faixas centrais do Corredor Norte-Sul, para a passagem dos ônibus do Sistema Integrado de Mobilidade – SIM, que conectará Nova Contagem à Cidade Industrial. Com isso, a pista de trânsito de veículos particulares da avenida João César de Oliveira será deslocada para a direita e um novo ramo de acesso à Via Expressa rumo à Betim será construído.
O Terminal Sede do Sistema Integrado de Mobilidade – SIM também será edificado ao lado esquerdo do Viaduto Beatriz. Todas as mudanças que estão sendo desenvolvidas tornarão o tráfego mais fluido na região e facilitado para quem atravessa a cidade ou se desloca para os municípios de Betim e Belo Horizonte diariamente.
Até este momento, 75% do projeto do Complexo Viário do Beatriz foi executado. Segundo informou a empresa responsável pela realização dos trabalhos, RFJ Construtora, a expectativa para a conclusão das obras é até agosto de 2022.
The old color does look a bit dreary. The new color helps make it cheerful but I think also takes away some of the impressiveness of the buildings.

There are 78 (even claimed 93) graves in the complex, but only 21 have been identified. The remains of the kings, family members and court important nobility were put to rest after their demised between the 17th to 19th century.
There are essentially three types of grave. The first type basically is collated piles, made by blocking stones resembling a temple. The structure consists of legs, body, and hollowing roof. The second type is a stone tablet, the tomb made as wooden building consists of four rectangular board-shaped stone. While the third type is the domed building, the tomb with hollow building and stood on the rectangular stone with a roof dome. Headstones and tombs of the kings have a variety of ornaments, such as plant motifs, lockets, Arabic and Lontara lettering inscribed on them.
Heretical rituals cult of saints seems widespread at the cemetery complex visitation by those seeking the blessing of the cemeteries and the dead.

Built in 1542 as a Greek Orthodox monastery, this complex has grown with several renovations and additions, with significant work being carried out in the late 1700s. The monastery consists of a large limewashed church with a marble front facade and campanile in the center, which is ringed by simple limewashed two-story buildings, which house living quarters for the monks, as well as a museum, and several small chapels. Around the complex is a walled garden, which features a monument to the south of the monastery. The monastery’s establishment led to the development of the surrounding village of Ano Mera, with a square in front of the monastery sitting at the center of the village. Today, the monastery is a tourist attraction, and remains in use as a Greek Orthodox monastery and church.
