Weather here has been somewhat iffy with a lot of overcast and rain for the past few weeks. Just a bit of the sun slipping slowly over the horizon.

The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” hosted a Multi-Functional fitness completion for Senior Enlisted, (E-8 thru E-9) of the Military District of Washington at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Fitness Center Mar. 28, 2017. The competition consisted of 3 timed events. 1. 5:00 of Buprees and Planks, 2. 3 Rounds of 100 meter Partner Carry to 30 reps of partner Medicine Ball Sit ups 20 or 14lbs, to 20 reps of Sandbag to shoulder lifts 45 or 25lbs, and finally 3. 15:00 of the 400 meter sandbag run to 10 reps of overhead medicine ball toss and catch 20lbs to 10 reps alternating overhead lunges 25 or 45lbs plates. The goal of the fitness competition was to increase esprit de corps and to have movements that are quick to learn for those new to Multi-Functional Fitness. (U.S. Army photos by Staff Sgt. Austin L. The future SR 509 Expressway in the SeaTac, Kent and Des Moines areas will connect I-5 to the southern access point of Sea-Tac Airport at South 188th Street.
This photo, looking northwest, shows where the expressway will pass underneath both SR 99 (the multi-lane road running from the lower left of the photo to the upper right) and the new Link light rail.
The expressway is being built in stages. Construction underway now will build the expressway to 24th Avenue South, which is visible in the upper left. The next stage will build it from 24th Avenue South to South 188th Street.
The SR 509 Completion Project is part of our Puget Sound Gateway Program, which completes vital missing links in the state's highway system. The Gateway program includes completing SR 167 in Pierce County as well.
Still a little bit of painting to be done, but the castle is done, the tree tapestry up, tunnels provided by Uncle Wes & Aunt Odyssey. This place is pure childhood magic!

There are 3 major bridge routes between Honshu and Shikoku, and on our previous trips we had covered the other two (Great Seto Bridge by train and Shimanami Kaido by bike), so cross this bridge over the Naruto Straits into Shikoku marked for us the completion of all possible non-ferry routes between Honshu and Shikoku
Baldwin Wallace University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (ABSN) program "pinning ceremony" as part of a distinctive celebration of completion.The pinning ceremony in the John Patrick Theatre of the Kleist Center for Art and Drama, marking the culmination of an intense, one-year program that features a concept-based curriculum for Bachelor’s Degree holders seeking a second degree in nursing. The graduates each received a nursing pin designed especially for Baldwin Wallace University, featuring symbols of nursing and scholarship.

Construction began March 2009, with a planned completion date of May 2012 (now extended to July 2012).
The Shard is 304,1m tall (309.6m including the antenna) with 72 habitable floors and a further 23 floors holding plant etc.
