Wanted to try and find something that was both translucent and coloured to see how colour was affected by light.
Looking at complimentary colours.
Filled a vase with water then poured in acrylic paint, the aim was to capture the flow and movement of the paint.
Taken in normal light conditions. Trying to focus on the interesting patterns of movement of the paint
I think everybody can guess what place that is even if it's written in Finnish. We would always associate blue and orange with the post-office even if really this is an old sign since the postal services have been privatised and they've even changed the name to Itella. Now, if you saw Itella, would you guess that's where you buy your stamps, for example? Even the colours will be different now - Itella uses blue and white.
Upon some good advice (thanks Chris!) - I re-took this to straighten up the background line, and tried to get more of the powder in the foreground in focus. Much happier with it now!

Loved these bright violet flowers with yellow centres in Malleny Garden in Balerno ... as if they chose their centre colour to be most pleasing to the eye. Nature rocks.
