The competition for the Miss ASCC title includes a cultural component held separately from the main pageant, in order to keep the pageant from being too long in duration. A competition for the bearded men in the audience. Who could eat the keer (rice pudding) the fastest without getting it on their beard. Surprisingly the most inexperienced young man won the contest.

The Robotics team traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to compete in the Midwest Regional Robotics competition. The team, and their robot, made it all the way to the semi-finals!
