The competition for the Miss ASCC title includes a cultural component held separately from the main pageant, in order to keep the pageant from being too long in duration. This cultural portion includes the categories of a) most authentic traditional Samoan wear; b) kava making skills; and c) siva performance. And so, in advance of the pageant coming up...
Halesowen and Hagley Farmers show held last weekend. They had a ploughing competition, just tractors not horses, it appeared quite competitive.

A competition for the bearded men in the audience. Who could eat the keer (rice pudding) the fastest without getting it on their beard. Surprisingly the most inexperienced young man won the contest.
