The Compasses aka the Cavern has a history as a music pub. It closed down c. 2016. It was next door to the Welsh Harp and also close to the Railway (the only one of the four pubs in this immediate area to still exist).

The outer fabric is rich upholstery weight brocade in cielo blue, café au lait and espresso browns. There is a bit of ecru as well. Elegant medallions, fleur de lis, and leafy scrolls. And, of course, a focal compass motif to help you on your way.
The lining material is ecru on cielo blue damask.
It measures H 14 in x L 12½ in (36 cm x L 32 cm). The straps measure 27 in (69cm).

the light blue is from RJR "flower power" and dark navy blue... Not sure.... it came from my stash!
This compass is as crooked as it comes. The picture is very forgiving, trust me, it's a mess. and notice I even had to add a couple of strips to my paper pieced block as it came out too small.... so my print out was obviously not to scale!..... One block to go and I will be caught up. Hope to finish before the next installment!
