i was inspired from a banner in front of the aquarium Berlin, when i spent one hour to watch the yellyfishes + the water was not so clear, full of particles + so it looks like a starry sky + here i start with my new album: Jellyfish in space
In the long forgotten past before Sat-Nav (Satellite Navigation) and GPS (Global Positioning System) , we had to find out where we were and where to go using paper maps and strange little manual devices called…..Compasses!
For the group, ‘Crazy Tuesday’ and the theme of ‘Numbers’.

HMM measurement "macro mondays" (9/24)
remember when they handed you the compass and the protractor for making circles, then measuring the number of degrees? the pointy one is the compass-- you're welcome

my compass is you aine♥♥♥
Lack of objects for today shooting.
Then I saw my compass on my backpack, idea came!!
I placed the compass on yellow paper for color contrast. Realized no magnets to create magnetic field to rotate the compass.
Found my beads magnet. Setup a LED light and smartphone shutter for 1sec. Moved a cluster of beads magnet to spin the
It worked and also leaving a trail of reflected lights from the beads, bonus!!
Hope you like it !!
One thing Tuomas Holopainen (the composer for 90% of all Nightwish songs and keyboarder) does so masterful is combining complex arrangements, surprising twists in the composition and beautiful lyrics, usually based on something like in this case a book. Tuomas accidentally combined two of my three favorite things: Music and Books. And I wonder, based on the lyrics and the little hint I left in the picture, can you guess which book this is based on? 😉
This is one of the songs all three singer performed. First was Tarja Turunen (the Queen of symphonic metal from Finland), then after she left until 2012 Anette Olzon, the Princess, performed this song with nightwish until finally Floor Jansen, the goddess from the Netherlands took it over and made it her own. I leave the links for the original and the live performance with Floor below since each of them are in their own way amazing.

This is me for forever
One of the lost ones
The one without a name
Without an honest heart as compass
This is me for forever
One without a name
These lines the last endeavor
To find the missing lifeline
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything
My flower, withered between
The pages two and three
The once and forever bloom gone with my sins
Walk the dark path
Sleep with angels
Call the past for help
Touch me with your love
And reveal to me my true name
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
Once and for all
And all for once
Nemo my name forevermore
Nemo sailing home
Nemo letting go
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
Once and for all
And all for once
Nemo my name forevermore
Name for evermore

Compi m (plural compis) (colloquial) mate, buddy, friend.
Compass (L), and Divider (R)
Dividers and compasses are drawing instruments that are
used to measure distances, transfer lengths from one drawing to another, and to draw circles.

A tighter view of a compass plant flower in its absolute prime in Thompson Prairie. Thompson Prairie sits on top of La Crosse Ridge and is surrounded by forested valleys and bluffs. That's why, even though it is a prairie, there are trees in the background of these images.
J'ai retrouvé ce Compas dans les affaires laissées par mon père. Je le garde précieusement et le range parmi mes objets de collection. #Macro #MacroMondays #Father

A classic, almost prehistoric-looking prairie wildflower. The tallest one in the middle was around eight feet tall, or about 2.4 meters. Thompson Prairie, where this photo was taken, was filled with them, making for an interesting sight.
There was a time when instruments were simple and hand crafted, embedded in elaborate casings. This compass, hand engraved on what I think is Buffalo bone (not ivory) and completed with a tiny lode-stone mounted on a functioning compass needle was bought in Hanoi some 25 years ago as an antique. Maybe: maybe not: but hand made in a traditional ancient style. From (as they say) the collection of the photographer.
