This is Grampy Tip Stone's compass. As I work on naming the peaks of the eastern Rockies visible from Calgary, I am using Google maps tools that allow me to create cusotmized maps.
Moral Compass playing at The Green Rooms last night.
Moral Compass started the band after a lack of musical activity in their lives and area. They have recorded an EP and they are now planning to release a debut album in the next few months.

I was going to buy a sun compass for £20 but couldnt bring myself to part with the money so I spent a bit time on the web finding out the position of the sun rise an where it would set for the middle of each month and came up with this. Save it , resize it, print it and laminate it. This is where the sun will rise and fall in the North East of England but it should only be a couple of degrees out for the rest of the UK

One of my favourites from the fleet, early Volvo B10M HIL9271 which was new in 1983 as FUA390Y to Wallace Arnold in Leeds, seen here however in a heavily cannibalised state in the corner of the depot.
Having become none standard earlier this year she was withdrawn, this now leaves PBZ8343 the only operational 1980's vehicle on fleet strength.
The Papa Johns Trophy Final 2023 took place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 2 April. A whopping 250 coaches turned up for this spectacle contested between Sky Bet League One rivals Bolton Wanderers and Plymouth Argyle. Here are a few of my shots of the Plymouth coaches seen on the big day which saw Bolton run out 4-0 winners.

I've become addicted to making kaleidoscopes. I like the wave effect in this one. The original image was part of an old boat's compass.
