This truck looked very similar to a Compaction Systems RL, but not 100% sure, once again on a DAF CF chassis and also spotted in Trafalgar Square.
Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.
The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs,tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!
Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.

A very appropriate word for my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Camera: COMPACT... 3rd Day shooting with the Micro 4/3 camera and I'm still surprised by how small and how much power this camera has...

Notice the lack of modeling light controls on the D-lite it can only match the flash power setting!
It can be useful to have a stronger or weaker modeling light. For instance outdoors in the dark a weak modeling light can help the autofocus alot without drainign much power or ruining models pupils.
A stronger light can be useful in a lit environment indoors so you can see where the flahs light is going even if the indoor light's are on.
Also notice the RX 1200 need for an ad on skyport receiver, it does have the advantage that the frequency controls aren't hidden in menus like on the D-lite and BRX where you hold in multiple buttons to change settings like that.
Remember of these only the BRX 250 can account for preflashes if used with a speedlite in auto !
The other's will trigger on the pre flash leaving a dark photo !

That's moi posing with the friendly trinkets vendors outside the Blood Compact site in Bohol. The site itesf is nothing much, just a nondescript statue on the side of the road. In spite of (or maybe because of) so many of the real ones being made, there don't seem to be a lot of scale models of Mercedes 107s around. I was surprised to happen across this MicroMachines version for a couple of bucks on eBay, so I jumped at it .... but it was white, and repainting it to match the Merz is proving a real challenge for my shaky old hands. I resorted to using a toothpick instead of a paint brush for some of the smaller details, I should probably have given up on the brush earlier. It's still cute, though, you just have to not look too close. Still need to get some orange paint for the turn signal lenses.
I've always wondered how they manage to paint these little cars - trying to repaint one myself has not made this any more comprehensible. I was better at this sort of thing when I was 10; maybe small hands help
The model is actually a 560SLC, but that's pretty close. I painted over the vents on the sides to make them look like part of the side windows.
