A repair brought to me by an Elvis tribute act. A drunken punter stepped on the stereo out cable that links the L1 compact sub unit with the extension speaker snapping off the end of the jack which got stuck in the barrel. It didn't matter anyway as the jack was so badly worn, it had to be changed. Not a big job on paper, but it was quite difficult and time consuming. All tested and working and Elvis could get on with his next show

I took a shot of the moon again tonight. Normally I would use my DSLR and 600mm lens with maybe a 1.4 or 2 times converter, or both.
For a change I shot this on my compact camera. The camera was steadied against the top of my back gate.
First attempt at water drops on a CD/DVD. Used my extension tubes for some and just dedicated macro for others. The colors you get from a CD and DVD are totally different so try both. Lots of fun on a rainy day.
Got my inspiration from Danny Cowee
Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.
The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs, tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!
Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.
Anyway, enjoy and please let me know what you think.
