Comparing the Canon IXUS 275 HS (built in 4.5-54.0mm zoom lens) v Canon EOS 600D with a budget (sub £70) Yongnuo 35mm prime lens...
The subject is a backlit (using a MiniSun LightPad - daylight balanced), etched, clear glass paperweight. That the angle and aspect ratio is very similar, is pure fluke!!! Honest! Both cameras were hand held. No tripod was harmed during this shoot LOL.
More interestingly, the IXUS recorded (EXIF) a focal length of 10.31mm (58.14mm equivalent), at ISO 200, aperture f4.5, and shutter speed 1/500, in P mode (there is no M mode). Whilst the EOS, with the prime 35mm lens (56mm equivalent), was ISO 200, aperture f2, and shutter speed 1/250, in M mode.
Whilst the result from the IXUS is a little harsh, with evidence of vignetting, it's a valiant effort from such a small camera with a tiny lens. Then again, with the EOS, the glass in a Chinese budget prime lens is hardly going to be exceptional.

The juvenile starry puffer is golden orange; the adult is pale grey covered in black spots. The fish contains a strong neurotoxin similar to that found in the blue-ringed octopus. This is the second individual that I have found in Sydney Harbour in recent times

A Compact Disc (also known as a CD) is an optical disc used to store digital data, originally developed for storing digital audio. The CD, available on the market since late 1982, remains the standard playback medium for commercial audio recordings to the present day.
Standard CDs have a diameter of 120 mm and can hold up to 80 minutes of audio. There is also the Mini CD, with diameters ranging from 60 to 80 mm; they are sometimes used for CD singles, storing up to 24 minutes of audio.
The technology was later adapted and expanded to include data storage CD-ROM, write-once audio and data storage CD-R, rewritable media CD-RW, Super Audio CD (SACD), Video Compact Discs (VCD), Super Video Compact Discs (SVCD), PhotoCD, PictureCD, CD-i, and Enhanced CD. The Sandugo was a blood compact, performed in the island of Bohol in the Philippines, between the Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565, to seal their friendship as part of the tribal tradition. This is considered as the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos. "Sandugo" is a Visayan word which means "one blood".

The pointer is pointing directly to the central canal (Haversian canal). Surrounding the central canal are multiple small lines (canaliculi) and the really dark spots are osteocytes in lacunae.
Wow! The most build details on any kit yet! For this project, the customer got each bearing edge of each drum just the way he wanted it; black hardware all around (except for the 3.0mm bottom snare hoop); a fun mix of Evans heads; a blend of pierced and burned logos; a swell color stripe on the snare--echoing the different colors of the BD hoops & BD shell; Trick Strainer & Butt; PureSound Equalizer wires; Octopus Boom Cymbal arms; Extra brackets for toms-n-accessories; and custom-designed tom holders which was like building stuff with an Erector Set...Oh, and these drums all fit inside each other to travel in one case! 6x8, 8x12, 9x16, 15x20, 4½x14; plied maple; satin wax.

Minolta XG9 + Rokkor 45mm f2.0 - $750 PESOS ARGENTINOS
Réflex liviana y compacta con lente 45mm.
Ésta es la XG9 de Minolta, una réflex simple y compacta. Tiene el tamaño de una cámara de visor directo, incluso es más pequeña y liviana que la Yashica electro35. La estructura del cuerpo es de metal, los paneles que la recubren son de plástico. La XG9 fue diseñada para ser usada en prioridad apertura. De esta forma, uno selecciona la apertura a la que quiere trabajar y, en el visor, el fotómetro indica a través de leds la velocidad en la que va a disparar el obturador. El obturador es electrónico y en el modo automático cubre todas las velocidades desde 1s hasta 1/1000. Para usarla en modo manual es necesario primero medir en modo automático, recordar el par y trasladarlo al modo manual. Por alguna razón, la gente de Minolta no pudo lograr (o no quiso) que el fotómetro funcionara en modo manual.
El lente es un rokkor 45mm f2. Este lente tiene cierta mística entre los usuarios de Minolta. Existe una magia que los define aunque yo no pueda ponerlo en palabras. Hay algo cremoso en las imágenes que produce, y al mismo tiempo vibrante. En la Internet existen miles de páginas que tratan de describir este fenómeno pero lo mejor es que vean por ustedes mismos. El lente es un 6 elementos en 4 grupos con recubrimiento multi-capa. Es un lente económico, compacto y buenísimo. Para muchos, la mejor relación precio calidad que puede obtenerse (yo creo que los hexanon son mejores).
El cuerpo y el lente están 10 puntos, parecen recién salidos de caja.

C3 - The easiest way to make kitchen tops!
C3 is a milling and engraving stone CNC machine. The C3 is designed to make accurate cutting out of granite, marble and engineered stone for sinks and cooking tops easy and cost-effective for the stone worker. The principal behind our compact stone fabrication CNC machinery is the same as an hole punch, where the machine only needs to be slightly wider than the distance between the holes, not as big as an A4 piece of paper.
The unique open gantry, combined with a compact and space-saving design, allows for any size work piece. As with the C4, the stone is worked “polished side up” for ease of set up. It also has a “tilt table” so you don’t need to worry if your marble and granite isn’t calibrated and is ideal for drainers and flutes.
The entire process is run from the integrated PC Windows® control panel. The easy-to-operate interface in the modern computer makes it possible to draw, change and save thousands of drawings and figures at the machine.
Like all of Scandinvent’s CNC stone fabrication machines, the C3 includes ScandSOFT™, the user-friendly software designed and developed by Scandinvent to make CNC programs of any sink or cooking top.
So, without previous knowledge of CNC-technique you can operate the C3. If you have CAD/CAM experience more complicated operations are possible. If you don’t then on our website at www.scandinvent.com/DXF/ we routinely update the DXF files for the sink cut-outs stone fabricators need.
