I took a shot of the moon again tonight. Normally I would use my DSLR and 600mm lens with maybe a 1.4 or 2 times converter, or both.
For a change I shot this on my compact camera. The camera was steadied against the top of my back gate.
First attempt at water drops on a CD/DVD. Used my extension tubes for some and just dedicated macro for others. The colors you get from a CD and DVD are totally different so try both. Lots of fun on a rainy day.

Rudolph still qualifies as a compact guide dog in training. He's growing- but he's still a puppy! He's with his puppy walker Samantha now and enjoys going to the coffee shop a couple of times a week!

Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.
The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs, tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!
Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.
Anyway, enjoy and please let me know what you think.

Going to school for IPM: School athletic fields get almost constant use, inviting weeds and making grass hard to grow. But moving the goalposts—literally!—shifts traffic patterns, giving turfgrass a rest and reducing herbicide use. These "learning community" team members are here to see how.

The concert was awesome, Sade's voice as incredible as ever. Brilliant light show.
I'm reasonably happy with these shots but didn't have my Canon SX110 super compact otherwise these shots would have been a lot better (see my Black Eyed Peas set, same venue). The Panasonic compact has no manual settings at all, only has an iso limit option and scene mode, so I played around with different scenes to improve some of the shots somewhat.
