This is a lot more serene than my daily commute.

- Taken in the backwaters in Kerala

There's water on one side of the road and a golf course (food) on the other side so there's a daily commute involved.

This is just a tiny part of rush hour, there were many geese and they all walked sloooowly single-file across both lanes. Took minutes for them all to get across, during which human traffic was backing up. It was very clear who owned the place :^)

Railfanning During Railfair, 6 May 1981

We had 4 British railfan friends visit during Railfair 1981, Matt, Tony, Graham and Richard. They were here for Railfair, among other things, having stopped in the Tehachapis on the way north from LA.

We drove to the Bay Area for 2 days, stopping at Rio Vista Jct., where I only seem to have photographed WP 334, then to Richmond, where we caught BART to Powell and Market in San Francisco.

I shot a few PCCs on Market, then we walked to the SP's 4th and Townsend station to watch the evening commute parade.

I like train. You like train.

An Irish Rail class 29000 Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) resplendent in the newest green and white livery approaches the bank leading to Blakestown level crossing opposite Intel Ireland in Leixlip as it makes its way towards Maynooth.

We're planning to take the Beetle this weekend up to Sonoma which made me commute yesterday back home seeing this gorgeous high-tech cockpit. Taken with Impossible First Flush PX600 color film.

Commuting Americans have enough extra room in their 140 million cars to give all of Western Europe a ride. If every car carried just one more passenger on its daily commute, 32 million gallons of gasoline and 600 million pounds of carbon dioxide would be saved each day. The Internet and directories or bulletin boards at work are good places to find nearby people to share a carpool.

Cheryl Steiger's globe displays the concentration of cars relative to each continent's population, and explores how different models of cars compare to one another. With an emphasis on the simple measures that individuals can take, Steiger sends the message that drivers can make a positive impact by getting the most out of their vehicle's seating capacity in the daily commute.

on my 20 km commute home from work in basel, crossing the rhine river. i love commuting in winter !

Hillborne on rainy commute. This is the current set up. Big change is the new 8cm stem (down from 10cm) hence the un-taped bars. What a huge difference those 2cm made!

A day in the life: commuting to work on a summer day in 1998. World Trade Center ferry.

Taken from Bikely, this chart displays the elevation profile of my commute to LBi...and goes some way to explain the out of breath mess I usually am by the time I get home in the evening...

Commuting lives photo project. Commuting to work each day can be a challenging experience and daily I meet hundreds of people, pledged at the same times and same trains.

It's interesting to distinguish how each of us spends these moments differently during the travel: there's who sleeps recovering energy, who reads a book, who is looking forward to the arrival, who divulges his or her feelings in front of a friend but above all, and here it is clear the cultural change occurred in recent years, there's who prefers alienating from it all using their smartphone.

The photograpy raises the curiosity that each of us possesses to a higher level, making the photographer able to analyse the subject even before shooting.

I have spent many of these trips between Monza and Milan to better understand these elements of humanity among the passengers: facial and body expressions, interactions between people, style and good or bad habits.
