The afternoon commute at Bayshore Caltrain NEVER disappoints! This is one of the few sections of track that is 4 MAINS bookended by 2 MAINS! Expresses always take the inside tracks, while Limited/Locals who do stop here take the outside tracks. 263 (North to San Francisco, CA.) and 274 (South to San Jose, CA.) are two trains that had to sit and wait for their express counterparts to FLY by them.

I bicycle to work whenever I can, a 32 mile round-trip, along a gem of a bike trail surrounded by urbanity. I get to see turkeys (young and old), pheasants, partridges, hawks, owls, coyotes, deer, skunk, squirrels, chipmunk, and other critters I'm not recalling at the moment.
Best commute around.
Commuting lives photo project. Commuting to work each day can be a challenging experience and daily I meet hundreds of people, pledged at the same times and same trains.
It's interesting to distinguish how each of us spends these moments differently during the travel: there's who sleeps recovering energy, who reads a book, who is looking forward to the arrival, who divulges his or her feelings in front of a friend but above all, and here it is clear the cultural change occurred in recent years, there's who prefers alienating from it all using their smartphone.
The photograpy raises the curiosity that each of us possesses to a higher level, making the photographer able to analyse the subject even before shooting.
I have spent many of these trips between Monza and Milan to better understand these elements of humanity among the passengers: facial and body expressions, interactions between people, style and good or bad habits.
Both in their own worlds..... the girl is commuting on her own, probably from a high priced private school.

Dear Mom,
Alright, I've been bored and uninspired. But my daily commute has much to offer in terms of stimulation and a recording of the times. Here's what's going on at 7:55 in the morning, on the Larkspur to SF Ferry terminal shuttle. Yes there are Blackberries and Iphones, there are laptops, there is conventional reading, and coffee, and..... well....... there is always the tried and true anti-establishment-post-early-rising-nap,catlike, in the morning sunshine. I'm all for that.
and every photo should be viewed large, shouldn't it?

Considering the frequency and duration of my commute getting wet is strangely rare.
This is one of those rare occasions - it was on the way home.
