MADAGASCAR: "My baby, Caroline, was healthy when she was born, but after a few months she got sick and stopped feeding. We were given medicine, but my baby got smaller and smaller. I started newborn health counseling through ADRA, and because of it, I am still breast-feeding Caroline. I also feed her banana, rice, and corn soya blend that I receive from ADRA. I know she is still small, but without this program she would be very sick or even worse. When we started the program, Caroline was 4 months old and weighed 4 pounds. Now she weighs almost 9 pounds. Every day now, I see the difference.”
