150 Music Choice Employees Volunteer with NJCDC to repair and improve the Elysian Fields Community Garden on 6.10.16
The project was launched in 2009 and dedicated to the community on the occasion of World Water Day on Tuesday, 22.03.2011, by Barabanki District Magistrate Mr. Vikas Gothalwal.
The event also provided the children with a platform to showcase their talent through various competitions that were conducted during the course of the event
The nine children were in Chennai for the campaign. They attended a public meeting presided over by Sri. Nalla Thampi, MLA at Chennai.
The officials of the Horticulture department visited this successful programme and were highly appreciative of World Vision's work.
With support from the ADP, the people have set up the kitchen gardens by preparing the ground and erecting fences around the kitchen garden. Vegetable seeds were also provided by the ADP.
This innovative program has successfully addressed two key issues faced by the people. Firstly, it ensured food security to the poor families. It has also helped the families to supplement family income.
