The College of DuPage Foundation, in support of the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) and the Cleve Carney Museum of Art (CCMA), recently hosted the “For the Love of Warhol: A Night at Studio 54” benefit gala. The successful event attracted more than 330 attendees and raised nearly $200,000, to support the Major Exhibition Fund of the College of DuPage Foundation dedicated to presenting future exhibitions, most notably, the upcoming “Warhol: Featuring Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop / Works from the Bank of America” presented by Bank of America, coming this summer.

The Carl Sandburg College softball team picked up its first Arrowhead Conference victory of the season in a doubleheader split with Illinois Valley yesterday at the William “Bill” Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex. Students and employees enjoyed a hot cup of cocoa, snacks and a visit with Sandburg President Dr. Lori Sundberg during Wednesday's Hot Cocoa Social in the Student Center.
LCC faculty recognized students who have achieved academic excellence this year.
Ben Soleim earned the Outstanding Student Award for Speech and was also chosen for the All-Washington Academic Team and the ASLCC 2015 Hall of Honors.
Former student, Alisha McLeod was recognized as the Chemical Dependency Outstanding Student. Her mother Marie accepted the award on her behalf.
In total forty-five awards were presented during the evening.
Freshman outside hitter Chelsea Lesniewski (Fulton) and sophomore setter Brea Simkins (United) each posted double-doubles as the Carl Sandburg College volleyball team rallied to beat Black Hawk 23-25, 31-29, 25-22, 25-13 in Arrowhead Conference action Wednesday night at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.

More than 3000 visitors experienced hands-on activities at STEMCON at College of DuPage. The day-long event highlighted science, technology, engineering and math through interactive booths, specialized workshops and an explosive presentation by Kate the Chemist.
