ANSBACH, Germany – Thirteen NCOs from Installation Management Command – Europe (IMCOM-E) participated in an induction ceremony at the Ansbach Theater on Bismarck Kaserene this afternoon, Sept. 14.
The time-honored ceremony which marks each participant’s transition into the Non-Commissioned Officers Corps was hosted by U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach (USAG Ansbach) Command Sgt. Major Philson Tavernier and attended by Command Sgt. Majors representing every Garrison in Europe: Command Sgt. Maj. Bryant Mason (USAG Italy), Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Sutterfield (USAG Bavaria), Command Sgt. Maj. Chad Pinkston (USAG Wiesbaden), Command Sgt. Maj. Samara Pitre (USAG Benelux), Command Sgt. Maj. Brett Waterhouse (USAG Rheinland Pfalz) and Command Sgt. Maj. Toese Tia (USAG Stuttgart).

The University of Scranton, in partnership with the Albright Memorial Library, facilitated a civic dialogue with community members,where people had the opportunity to share their beliefs about our country and hear from others.

As members of community, whether linked by ties of relationship, vision, or location, we often seek out others with shared values, hoping to connect on a deeper soul level. The DCPA hosted a community roundtable on March 2 gathering members of various faiths to talk about the Theatre Company's upcoming production of Ayad Akhtar’s play 'Disgraced.' The gathering was an opportunity to discuss otherness and sometimes false suppositions we make just by looking at someone 'Disgraced' is a provocative, turbulent, Pulitzer Prize-winning play focuses on a Manhattan corporate lawyer named Amir who questions his suppressed Muslim identity as his white wife — an up-and-coming New York painter — embraces Islamic artistic tradition.
