Willis Hall (Communication) left his mark as one of the top rebounders and top scorers in College of Charleston men’s basketball history. He finished his five-year career ranked 27th all-time in career scoring with 1,152 points and sixth all-time in career rebounding with 843 rebounds, which is the third-most in CofC’s Division I history. One of only seven players in program history to record more than 1,000 points and 800 rebounds in a career, Hall was honored on the All-CAA Second Team and NABC All-District 10 Second Team to cap off his senior season. A Southern Conference All-Freshman Team selection in 2010, he was a part of three 20-win campaigns, two conference championship game appearances, two CBI Tournament appearances and a league regular-season championship title that led the Cougars to a memorable quarterfinal run in the NIT in 2011. The Charlotte, N.C., native became the first player in school and CAA history to be recognized as the USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week for his school-record and career-best 26-point and 21-rebound double-double performance in a road victory at Davidson on Jan. 1, 2014. Twice named CAA Player of the Week, he ranked among the top 35 players nationally in rebounding (9.2 rpg) along with scoring a team-leading 12.3 points per game. Hall also recorded 10 double-doubles on the season for a total of 14 in his career. Off the court, he served as Vice President for CofC’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and graduated last May with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and leadership. He is currently enrolled in graduate school pursuing a master’s degree in communication and looks to play professionally overseas.
