These old telephone poles with their distinctive metal staggered foot brackets are a common sight in England. Each one can provide a telephone service to around twenty houses via overhead cables. They are still in use but will eventually become obsolete as more satellite and cable services are installed.

Just took this group laughing their heads off in the middle of a temple in Bagan; Burma. Loved their smile and the global feel of the scenery. This joy in the middle of the serenity. Wanted to catch these colors (real and athmosphere) despite the harsh sun that day that was falling down on the temple.
in this case i worked with 2 layers...
1. the wall from the Franconian International School (FIS) in Erlangen
2. Statue in front of the Siemens factory canteen Röthelheimpark

Branding, graphic and communication code for a catalan wines promotion project for the domestic and international audience designed by studio toormix. A project that aims to improve the consumption and the presence of the local wines at catalan cellars and restaurants. The brand with 12 different variations (as many as wine designations of origin in Catalonia) and the synthetic graphical combine land, terroir and climate of the different D.O. through a graphical code different from the typical wine code. Within the project we worked on the brand extension for communication to the point of sale (restaurants and wineries), magazines with opinion leaders quotes about catalan wines and the different support and merchandising materials.

in a relationship! Don't know if this is quite what they mean! :)
This is not posted because of it's wonderful photographic qualities, but because it struck me as funny when I glanced in my rear view mirror. Kind of reminds me of the parents who bemoan the fact that they can't communicate w/their kids, but you'll see them all in the car with their headsets on! (K, I'll now step down from my soapbox!)
Sculpture Group Symbolizing World's Communication in the Atomic Age

Harry Bertoia
born San Lorenzo, Italy 1959 - died Barto, PZ 1978
Harry Bertoia's sculpture installation reflects the optimism of the 1950's, when the economy boomed and broadcast television was transforming American culture. The largest cluster of the sculpture symbolizes the world transmitting light to the smaller forms that represent sight, sound, and electronic control, each of which also emits luminous impulses. Bertoia explained that :we lice in a time dominated by...invisible forces...these [are] elements of the atomic and electronic age that I am trying to give sculptural shape and form." Bertoia's vision of global communication is a reality today, as satellites constantly receive and transmit signals for broadcast, cell phone, and computer communications.
