U.S. Army Forces Command and The Army Ground Forces Band performed two holiday concerts Wed., Dec. 17, 2014 at the Meymandi Concert Hall, Raleigh, N.C. -- a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. evening show. Both shows were filled to capacity as the citizens and veterans of Raleigh and the 'Triangle' region of North Carolina joined us to enjoy some musical holiday cheer. Col. Daniel J.W. King, FORSCOM director of public affairs hosted the matinee show and Maj. Gen. Jimmie Jaye Wells, FORSCOM chief of staff hosted the evening show. We were joined by Raleigh City Council members John Odom (matinee) and Eugene Weeks (evening) who welcomed us to the capital city -- both gentlemen, themselves military veterans, spoke eloquently of their own time in uniformed service to our nation.

Soldiers participating in Equal Opportunity Leadership training course at Redstone Arsenal took a break from class to step into the classrooms of University Place Elementary school to read to youngsters.

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala.--July, 22, 2011 – The two largest civilian employers in the Department of Defense, the U.S Army Materiel Command and the Naval Sea System Command, joined forces Friday with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to provide more employment opportunities to service members by expanding their veteran hiring programs.
The agreement between U.S Army Materiel Command and the Naval Sea System Command expanded the veteran hiring programs for both organizations by combining two existing programs.

The agreement between U.S Army Materiel Command and the Naval Sea System Command expanded the veteran hiring programs for both organizations by combining two existing programs.

80th Training Command (TASS) Soldiers supported the Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Rodeo at Fort Story, Virginia from May 20-24, 2019. The five-day competition was run by U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) personnel to determine the readiness of water purification teams within the U.S. Department of Defense. Competitors this year include Soldiers from the U.S. Army National Guard and active duty, and U.S. Marines.

In the Second World War, Bentley Priory was the headquarters of RAF Fighter Command, and it remained in RAF hands in various roles until 2008.
The commander of the Mission and Installation Contracting Command was promoted to the rank of brigadier general during a ceremony Dec. 15 in San Antonio. In attendance at the ceremony marking a career milestone for Brig. Gen. Bill Boruff were military and civic leaders, family and friends, and members of his command. Officiating the ceremony was Maj. Gen. James Simpson, commanding general for the Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
