Global Command was the last series of Big Jim. Made in 1984 by mattel it was developed in Italy and sold during 1985 to the beginning of 1986. Unfortunatly it seems that Mattel USA decided to stop the line and so it appened.
Many collectors don't like this line probably because Big Jim face's was changed from the well known 70s headsculpt into a more 80s style; personally I really like this last adventure, I remember all this line pubblicicezed in the magazines and I rememeber few of them in the stores..I hope you will enjoy this small gallery!

Hand-held, macro test. High ISO setting, to minimize my "shake". Testing the 55mm f/2.8 MF Micro, with the M2 Extension "Ring" (as opposed to Extension "Tube") on the D300. The M2 was originally designed for the 55mm f/3.5 Micro, but is a nice member of my collection, especially all the "pre-digital" stuff.
The RAW was processed through Capture NX2, saved as a TIFF and cropped with minor manipulation in CS3. One of these days, I need to figure out a work flow between NX2 (which captures *all* the camera info), PS CS3, and Aperture.

The Army Field Support Battalion-Kandahar said good bye to several of its members in the month of June. They were all recognized for their hard work and contribution to the mission and to the warfighter and several award ceremonies held throughout the month.
About the 401st:
The 401st Army field Support Brigade provides Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps provide it. The brigade assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. The brigade also handles the responsible disposition of equipment in Afghanistan to support evolving missions. We are the single link between Warfighters in the field, and working through Army Sustainment Command, we leverage Army Materiel Command’s worldwide Materiel Enterprise to develop, deliver, and sustain materiel to ensure a dominant joint force for the U.S. and our Allies.

Its predecessor, Air Defense Command, was established in 1946, briefly inactivated in 1950, reactivated in 1951, and then redesignated Aerospace rather than Air in 1968. Its mission was to provide air defense of the Continental United States (CONUS). It directly controlled all active measures, and was tasked to coordinate all passive means of air defense.
