KUWAIT NAVAL BASE, Kuwait--Soldiers from the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) gathered together aboard the Army Logistical Support Vessel 05, Major General Charles P Gross, to congratulate newly promoted Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lawrence Claflin during a promotion ceremony held here Nov. 22. Claflin is the support operations sea mobility branch chief for the 143d ESC and has served in the Army watercraft field for over 25 years.

CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Soldiers from the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) participated in a patching ceremony here Sept. 20. Col. James C. Bagley, chief of staff, 143d ESC, placed the unit insignia on the Soldiers' right sleeve, signifying the award of the hailed “Combat Patch” and the Soldiers commitment to the unit during operations in a designated combat zone.
The combat patch or shoulder sleeve insignia indicates former wartime service, a tradition started by the Army during World War II. Col. Bagley was joined by Sgt. Maj. Ferdinand Collazo Jr., chief signal sergeant major for the 143d ESC’s G-6 section, Capt. Robert J. Luzarraga, company commander of the 143d ESC, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Joseph Phoebus, senior ordnance ground maintenance warrant officer G-4 and 1st Sergeant Randolph L. Ellerbe, the 143d ESC’s first sergeant. Special guest, Command Sgt. Maj. Luther Thomas Jr., the senior enlisted advisor of the U.S. Army Reserve, stopped by to speak with the 143d Soldiers during the ceremony.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (July 24, 2015) - U.S. Army Forces Command celebrated the lineage of FORSCOM that began 75 years ago with the U.S. War Department activation of the General Headquarters, U.S. Army in 1940. Through several reorganizations throughout the 1940's and 1950's, FORSCOM, as it is now known, was established in 1973. This day, the headquarters commemorated these 75 years with a day-long series of activities beginning with a staff esprit-de-corps run and culminating with the unveiling of a new sign on the building honoring General of the Army George C. Marshall, for whom the headquarters building has long been named. Maj. Gen. Jimmie Jaye Wells, FORSCOM chief of staff, led the effort for the celebration that was hosted by Lt. Gen. Patrick J. Donahue II, FORSCOM deputy commanding general. Gen. Mark A. Milley, FORSCOM commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Scott C. Schroeder, FORSCOM command sergeant major, attended and officiated the unveiling of the new 'Marshall Hall' sign, the cutting of the ceremonial cake, and the unveiling of command history placards in the front foyer of the building.

The 10th Mountain Division (LI) Sustainment Brigade Command Team, accompanied by the senior leaders of the 10th Mountain Division held a physical training event to help kick-off the new Command Mentorship Program on May. 3, 2021, on Fort Drum, NY.
The Command Mentorship program is a one-day event that will be held on the first Monday of every month to provide focused development and mentorship from the 10th MDSB Command Team to the Company Command teams, Brigade staff, and Soldiers.

Warrior Country leaders host the Area I Command Information Exchange at Camp Casey's Warriors Club July 28. These quarterly meetings have replaced the traditional town hall that tended to brief what services are provided by the garrison while the CIE format is designed to address high-impact issues like the eventual closing of Casey Elementary School, availability of school bus monitors and changes to command sponsorship.The next Command Information Exchange is scheduled for Oct. 29 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Warriors Club.

Logisticians from the National Guard Bureau conduct a Command Logistics Review Team inspection of 21 Virginia National Guard units, shops, facilities and sections April 28-30, 2014, throughout Virginia. Having made it to the top of the stair ascending Mount Aksla we spent some time exploring. I came across this WW2 bunker, part of the German fortifications around the city.
The 117a command bunker was HQ for the Ålesund region. It is still in a good state along with a variety of supporting bunkers; a kitchen bunker with a wooden water tank, some personnel bunkers and a Vf Fire-control / observation bunker all located around the 117.

On 18 July 2017, LISA Pathfinder was shut down after being placed in a safe disposal orbit. The final command was sent from ESOC, ESA's European Space Operations Centre, at 19:57 CEST that evening. That day, scientists, mission controllers and the mission's management team gathered at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany, for a presentation on the successes of the mission prior to the shut-down.

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command Best Warrior Competition competitors tackle Day 1’s events of the Army Physical Fitness Test and an obstacle course on Fort Carson, Colorado, and written tests, an essay and a media event on Peterson Air Force Base, July 8. The day ended with an icebreaker at the Space Foundation in Colorado Springs. The competition runs July 8-12 and includes Soldier and NCO Best Warriors from the command's four regions: European, Western, Eastern and Pacific.
