Stairwell leading up to campus

The columns supporting the cave temples of Elephanta Island were quite magnificent. I am still impressed by the pillowy cushion that was carved near the top of each of these stone columns.

I love to capture the details in older buildings. This is the top of the columns out in front of the Gate City, Virginia courthouse

Part of the National Monument on Edinburgh's Calton Hill. Built in 1822 it was intended to be a full replica of Parthenon in Athens. But due to funding running out, it was never finished. Still very impressive sight (and site) though.
