This was perhaps one of the most complex designs I saw there. Painted by Maurizio Fruzzetti from Italy (www.mauriziofruzzetti.com). I wish I'd taken more time to get some more and better photos of this one, but there was a lot going on and it was difficult to keep track of everyone.
Today's prompt was True Colours. I listened to the song until about halfway through and switched it off. I decided there was nothing inspirational in there.
No, I had to change my thinking on this one. There is no such thing as a true colour. There is no true blue or red or yellow. Ultramarine blue tend to purple, as does Alizarin Crimson. Lemon Yellow tends towards green, and that's just the primaries. Once you get into secondary and tertiary colours it's just a big mess. So that was my starting point for today's sketch: My watercolour palette. Not one true colour in the box and as you will notice I ignore the teachers' warnings not to start mixing colours in the pots. I just go for it. All the colours in the box started out as tube colours, squeezed out into pots and they looked pretty for about a day, then as they dried, they darkened and that gets us to a whole new argument about True Colours. Maybe I'll be a bit "Happier" tomorrow!

Another Seaton Tramway car arrives at Colyton from Seaton. Car 9 is a more recent vehicle completed in 2007, to a hybrid design, based on elements of the old Plymouth and Blackburn trams. it has low floor centres to enable easy access
The Tramway runs on part of the old Southern Railway Seaton Junction (Axminster) to Seaton branch line. The whole operation was moved lock, stock and trolley-poles from Eastbourne in 1970 see www.tram.co.uk/history for more details

Why is colour such a powerful force in our lives?
Colours in the red area of the colour spectrum are known as warm and include red, orange, and yellow.
These warm colours evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility.
Colours on the blue side of the spectrum are known as cool and include blue, purple, and green.
These colours are often described as calm, but can also call to mind feelings of sadness or indifference.
Symbolic Color Meanings:
Red: Passion, creativity, excitement, love
Pink: Soft, reserved, earthy
Purple: Mysterious, noble, glamorous
Blue: Wisdom, hope, reason, peace
Green: Nature, growth, freshness
Yellow: Hope, joy, danger
Orange: Warmth, kindness, joy
White: Truth, indifference, clean
Black: Noble, mysterious, cold
Medical associations:
Red is used to stimulate the body and mind and to increase circulation.
Yellow is thought to stimulate the nerves and purify the body.
Orange is used to heal the lungs and to increase energy levels.
Blue is believed to soothe illnesses and treat pain.
Indigo shades are thought to alleviate skin problems.
