Bit of a lie-in this morning; luxury! Got breakfast for Mum and me, and got myself up and dressed before her carers came at 10:30. We had a pretty easy morning, then got off to her next hospital appointment after lunch. This one was for a suspected basal cell carcinoma on her nose. She was given the choice of having a biopsy or going straight for the op - she chose the latter but was then thwarted by the fact that they couldn't transfer her to the 'couch' for the surgery. So she had to go with the biopsy option - much less brutal, but with the chance that she'll still need to go back for the op. But with any luck, it'll come back clear and she won't. Keeping everything crossed for that!
Got home earlier than expected, and had a nice unhurried evening, having cancelled the carers (in anticipation of getting home late). Nice having our own schedule for a change - I helped Mum to bed about 8:30/9pm (instead of the usual 6:30-ish).
Another day without taking any photos, so another evening snap in my Mum's kitchen. I liked the red light being cast on the blinds by this crackle-glass vase.

They let us wait for more than an hour. But was totally worth it.
The milan-based band "Calibro 35" played along with a 70ies pulp police movie (which was so bad that you had to love it). Was a great night.

Decided to take the camera to work for some reason last Friday. Was more than a bit pleased when the fog rolled in just before I left to go home.
Not actually sure what this building's called, but that's what I've started calling it. I do like the rainbow lights up the side - and liked the reflections in the closer building this evening, too.
Had a good day at work - managed to not only get the job done that I'd planned for today, but also to run a huge report I'd planned to run on Monday. Bonus! Particularly as I know how busy next week is going to be - that's really going to help.
Had some really sad news just as I was finishing up for the day though. My colleague Jack told me that one of our IT engineers - a really lovely bloke who had felt like one of our colleagues (despite the fact that we outsource our IT) - had committed suicide. Shocking and so, so sad.
Had a very relaxed evening - didn't even bother putting my laptop on for a change.
Off sick again. Again, spent much of the day in bed, and the rest on the sofa. Not really any better nor any worse, just still fighting the mystery bug.
I did however wash my hair today - an achievement (which led to another lie-down afterwards) - and helped Tim with the Tesco delivery when it came this afternoon. Had a nice chat with my Mum, too, who phoned to see how I was doing.
Some lovely light coming through our new-ish blinds this afternoon. You can see I failed to take the LSA sticker off our vases when I got them as a gift several years ago ;)
