this is actually the new ColourSplash app for the iphone and it works awesomely!! lol :-) the grey area's of the pic are grainy but its still very cool and only cost £1.19 so alot cheaper than photoshop!! lol :-)

had the coloursplash flash rolled halfway for 2 colours to be seen. we had a big smile for the good times.

My good friend Andy left for lands afar, i.e. Edinburgh uni, not so long ago, and we threw him a party at Zoe's to drink to his good health.

And so about twelve of us entrenched ourselves into poor Zoe's cramp kitchen and drank any liquid that contained a trace of alchohol in the near vicinity. It had all the crucial elements to a good party: good music, arguments about everything from the death sentance to animated movies, people getting undressed for no goddamn reason, the whole deal.

Here we see Charlotte (and the back of Phil's head), living it up.

I discovered that there are actually two Vespas parked under my block. Which means only one thing: I can shoot the other beauty on a separate day and get another 365 shot out of the way.

this was taken after missing two days out, because i'm an idiot and forgot that i was supposed to be doing the "project 365"

i used my nikon d200, on a tripod and my Lomo Coloursplash flash, for the blue effect.

This shot came from a Halloween gig, All Tomorrows Party's Release The Bats @ The Forum in Kentish Town.

All images taken by photographers were requested to be uploaded to a Release The Bats flickr pool .. My image was selected as the WINNER!

What did i win .. Another parcel of LOMO Cameras and goodies, courtesy of LSI ..

I never have much luck with the shoot-from-the-hip rule, but in this event it seemed to work

I used an Aperture of 8 because I knew I only wanted my subject to be in focus. i changed the ISO to 800 because we were outside and since it was sunny out that day i changed the exposure to - 1/3 so that her face wouldn't look to bright under the natural light. I put the focus on right eye cause it was the closest and bring more interest into the picture.

Some things that i couldve done better are taking more time during post production when using the cloning stamp and payed more attention to my background while taking the picture

Objective 5: Post Production

Corrections/adjustments made:

Levels: i used this to sharpen the image

Brightness/Contrast: I used this to brighten up her face a bit more

Black and White: I put it into black and white and brought the colour out in her eyes to make them pop more

Other: I used the Spot healing brush to fix up her makeup and get rid of any blemishes and i also used the clone stamp tool to get rid of a finger that was peaking into the picture and to make more of her teeth white and stand out more
