Despite the rain we still managed to pull off a fun little shoot. This was one half of a greater concept that I look forward to sharing when completed.

It was August 2006. I saw an announcement at a local Lomo forum saying that a duet was looking for lomographers to shoot pictures for their upcoming album and website. I never did anything like that, so I thought it might be fun and decided to give it a go.
I went to shoot for them with a number of other lomographers. One of them was actually a photograher for a well-known fashion magazine, so she naturally became the director. It was quite a nice experience. Each of us got a mini CD of this duet as a present.
We were supposed to post our best shots on the Lomo forum after we got everything done so that they could select their favorites for their album cover, website and other promotional materials.
Sadly and unexpectedly, this Lomo forum was attacked by a hacker and had to shut down before I processed and posted all my photos. So I am not sure if they ever got a chance to see my shots at all.
Later I submitted some of the shots to Absolut Lomo competition. I never expected it was this (???) shot that helped me win the 7th/8th place in December. The prize was a Holga starter package. Not bad, huh? :)
2006年8月。我在一个LOMO论坛上看见一则通告，说一个乐队想要找人帮他们拍照片，为将来的专辑和网站之用。我从来没尝试过这种事，就想也许会好玩，于是决定去试试看。
与我同去的还有其他好几个人，其中有一个是某知名时尚杂志的摄影师，所以自然承担了“导演“的职责。我们其他人，就随便拍。感觉还OK。临走的时候，我们每个人得到一张迷你CD(EP)，作为礼物。
本来我们说好照片冲洗扫描完毕，要把最好的一些传到这个LOMO网站，供他们挑选。结果，还没等我冲洗和上传完全部照片，这个网站就因为被坏人攻击而被迫关闭了，而且一关就是差不多一年。所以，我都怀疑，他们到底有没有看到这些图片中的任何一张。
故事并没有结束。去年年底，国际LOMO协会在全球范围内举行Absolut LOMO比赛，我提交了这次拍摄中的某些照片，完全没有抱任何希望。结果竟然因为这一张(???)照片获得12月份的第7/8名，奖品是一个Holga套装。还不错哈？：）

Walking around and about the canals of East London we ended up at the Limehouse Basin, looking toward the Canary Wharf skyline. Popped off a coloursplash flash for some contrast to the moody sky.
