Colombo doesn't generally get much of a rap, but we liked it. Especially after finding this place by the beach which not only served us real beef burgers and steak (after 4 cow-free months in India), and not only had ice-cold beer on tap, but also had its very own and very tasty brew. v nice. (All the more wonderful for having spent 4 hours prior to that being F***ed around by the Indian embassy.) What you can't see here is that the beach - at my back - was flanked by army/police and after I took this one pic was quickly told (albeit very politely) to put my camera away. So no more pics from Colombo.
