The new collection is inspired by the colours of an autumn woodland, with lichen yellows, the ochres of fallen leaves and peaty browns and mushroomy shades.
Hazel Jones "The Mother of Invention" in our Lambeth Walk flat - taken by Michael Caldwell for The Magazine ( now defunkt). Depicts nicely the detritus and collections tat on the walls.
Here’s the original shot of the spiral staircase at the Wellcome Collection in London. This is the version I edited to create the two variations that I posted already.
Sometimes one must just blow out the flame.....the oil lamp collection sits atop my fridge....just collecting dust and grease ... none have had to be lit in a long long time.....today my cabin fever is like the fading lamps in the second photo.....when one can see clear skies and sun that is returning.. but it is still to damn cold to venture out ....the walls seem to be closing in here in my world....

Thought it was about time I posted another picture showing my models. This isn't even all of it... There are 124 models in this picture plus I have another shelf with more stuff on it, a box full of old folds and some other models on my desk. I hope you like it :D
If you can, please add a note to show which model you like the most, I am interested to see what people think!
We had the honor this past weekend to peruse a friend of a friend's record collection. The collection is being sold and so we got pick of the litter for the albums we wanted. This is box 2. We about doubled our collection. And we had a nice afternoon chatting with our host.

The Wallace has an impressive collection of Majolica (or Maiolica) tin-glazed pottery produced in Italy during the Renaissance. As far as I know, it was an art form developed in the Urbino region and not much developed elsewhere, although in the UK the Victorians copied it. The subject matter was often classical or hunting scenes, but many plates and bowls are of a domestic nature.
This plate, made round 1510, features two girls embracing. Judging by their almost bald heads and chubbiness, they must be toddlers, but it’s a curious centrepiece for a plate that has wild animals, sea creatures, hunting horns and axes round the outside.
