This week, KS3 looked at the collage artist Eugenia Lolis. Students were asked to create their own wild and wacky surreal collages and come up with a narrative. Year 9 have been looking at Picasso's Cubist portraits. Here are some fantastic examples.

Collage of my lovely mum around the early fifties, how styles and hair fashions change. Sadly the original of these photographs were pretty degraded so I opted for an arty look! hope it works!
I finally figured out what to do with the phone-book-thick stack of race numbers that have piled up over the years. Cheap frame plus glue sticks equals basement bathroom art.
These collages looked lifeless until I centered a number in the middle. It made all the difference and now kind of reminds me of Demuth's "I Saw The Figure 5 In Gold." Aren't you digging how these turned out?
Recently excavated good ol'fashioned scalpel and glue collages from my college days. Photoshop wasn't really available thank goodness!
Planning on a pitch for a new children's book. Working on some collages to that end. These are on gessoed pine boards and the papers are from magazines, comics, advertisements, newspapers, and whatever other crap I can find.
