I Bought Everything You Sold But What Was the Cost? in magazine cut out letters.
This is an A1 collage I did using maps and rubbings in graphite. Unfortunately it was "removed" from the drawing room never to be seen again... Au revoir à jamais! Hehe.
I am a first year student in Sligo IT Fine Art and our first project for Semester 1 was 'Changing Worlds.'
When I was little I remember getting a few injections, since having children they seem to get have to get vaccinations every 6 months until they're 5.
I feel very strongly that most children don't need to get all of these injections and decided that 'Changing Worlds' would be about the actual viruses and molecules we have to 'fight' against.
Daniel has been teaching me to use photoshop!
This is a better collage (then the one I posted the other day) of the postcards I sent in for Mail Me Some Art mailmesomeart.blogspot.com/ which was hosted by Gina www.flickr.com/photos/ginavisione/
This week, KS3 looked at the collage artist Eugenia Lolis. Students were asked to create their own wild and wacky surreal collages and come up with a narrative. Year 9 have been looking at Picasso's Cubist portraits. Here are some fantastic examples.

I finally figured out what to do with the phone-book-thick stack of race numbers that have piled up over the years. Cheap frame plus glue sticks equals basement bathroom art.
These collages looked lifeless until I centered a number in the middle. It made all the difference and now kind of reminds me of Demuth's "I Saw The Figure 5 In Gold." Aren't you digging how these turned out?
I got the lady image from a 1950's ad about sending flowers to your loved ones from far away places. The writing underneath the ad was so sensual and full of feeling, so I hope you feel just as much love from this as you would from receiving real flowers.
Collage
Recently excavated good ol'fashioned scalpel and glue collages from my college days. Photoshop wasn't really available thank goodness!
Planning on a pitch for a new children's book. Working on some collages to that end. These are on gessoed pine boards and the papers are from magazines, comics, advertisements, newspapers, and whatever other crap I can find.
I'll complete this one next week.
