I half expected to see fresh fish amidst all that ice on the large display tray in the foreground. But no, that's not fish, that's chrysanthemum juice- now that's a first one on me! It was super delicious and rather delicate to the taste- I had two bottles of it at that time and later one the following day, in Bangkok. I am in the Amphawa floating market near Bangkok, I was disappointed that it was mostly closed- it apparently opens only on weekends and that too only in the afternoon. This is in the market set along the river, but as for the market itself, if you expect to drive through the Amphawa Floating Market by boat between all the vendors to buy goods, like at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (which we will get to later in the day- see subsequent pictures), that is not the case here. Here you can buy ethnic foods from the boats on the canal and sit down on tables at the banks of the canal to enjoy your snack. You can even take a long boat ride from here into the surrounding countryside. (Amphawa Floating Market, Thailand, Oct. 2018)

My new grocery store in Singapore. Amazing selection of speciality items from around the world...with an excellent deli! Kind of like a little version of Whole Foods...but only better since you can have them grill sausages for you and sit on their terrace and drink cold beer!
