As the world does nothing about the current situation in Iraq volunteers from around the world go to fight ISIS.

On a mission to kill ISIS members volunteers codenamed Punisher and Inquisitor, they stumble upon what was a ancient Assyrian site.

"Rubble must be in vogue in this shit hole" said Punisher

Inquisitor says "Only for ISIS man. They can't build so they destroy what others have made."

"Haha, hey what the fuck is that over there?"

"It looks like a body"

They move in deeper into the site and see a wounded ISIS fighter. The man tries to reach for his RPD, but can't.

"We'll look what we found" said Punisher. "A beautiful sight my friend."

Inquisitor pulls out a M1911 and says to the fighter "See this boy? This is something my grandfather used to kill Nazis. You and them are pretty much the same fucking thing. Any last words boy?"

The fighter just looks at him knowing he's going to die and says "Allahu....", but is soon shot in the head.

"Let's grab some of this shit here and go. I don't want them to show up." said Punisher.

"Yeah let's go" said Inquisitor. "Did you notice those chickens?

"Nah, not at all. They are probably some farmers." said Punisher.

They leave the destroyed site with the fighters gear and weapons. They go back to the Peshmerga camp to prepare for an attack.

Pilot: Codename: GHOST

After numerous successful campaigns against Marzan supply lines, a tired Empire decided to give in and parley with the mysterious pilot of the QU-KRSW, codename: "GHOST".

While many of the Marzan Aristocracy and upper military echelon questioned dealing with a war pirate, numerous deals and a heavy offering of food, money, war supplies, and of course, Quorus was supplied in exchange for GHOST un-officially working as an independent agent for the Marzan Empire, freely doing as he pleases as long as he does not interfere with Marzan business.

His previous reFrame, the QU-KRSW, has been retrofitted with a new design, machine improvements across the board, as well as a huge upgrade to its weapons loadout.

As a safeguard, Marzan engineers were tasked to install a remote detonator inside the Quorus core power chamber to prevent GHOST from crossing them although it's highly likely that's been long diffused by the pirate legend himself.

Finally got this thing finished, my first build since October and my first official build for KSystems.

The Kong Armament Systems KAR 1 (Or better known for its codename BLK.OUT) is the ultimate in CQB technology.

The rifles sleek design fits perfectly into the hands of an operator that needs a short in length but big on power weapon.

Firing the .300 BLK round it packs a far greater punch than traditional 5.56x45 NATO ammunition.

A small RIS is standard with the rifle allowing the user to add on accessories such as fore-grips and laser/flash-light systems, with vents for cooling.

A sturdy yet lightweight one piece stock is added to provide the shooter support, without weighing him/her down. No need for any adjustments or fold outs, just pick up the rifle and start blasting.

The KAR 1 is fitted as standard with a KSystems modified MIAD grip and a wire-frame triggerguard.

Shown above is an example optic combination with the QKFlip mount with a EOTech FTS and a KSystems MiniHolo.

A custom gold pearloid fire selector was added for an extra classy touch.

third stage

Oh these repetetive buildings somehow tire but also let you develop an idea. This time I got much closer to what I had in mind. Thanks for all the feedback on the first two stages:-) It is a combination of the previous versions (first & second) with a better balance of the leg sections and a simple but directed body.

The HAV is to follow...

A bio-mechanical weapon prototype, codename RIPPER, has been mistakenly activated due to a minor system malfunction on the lower deck. Designed to destabilize entire colonies aboard enemy starcrafts, the RIPPER mutilates what remains of the crew in Docking Bay A after an emergency quarantine is initiated. It sustains itself by feeding on living plant and animal tissue, which can sometimes be seen dangling from its (incomplete) torso.

This build is the result of a cannibalized torso from an old moc. Starting from the torso, I build the shoulder pads and had a rough idea of the overall aesthetic of the character. It took some trial and error, but I think the design is sleek and kind of clean without being too simple. I especially like the leg design.

MKSG The X-Men: Survival - Issue #4

Central New York - Underground

MORLOCkS

MUTaNTZ OnLY

A large metal gate with writing scrawled across it gradually rises. The sludge of the sewers it was slumped in slides off it and plunges back into the foul, murky waters. The metal chain attached to it is heaved upwards by a mutant Magneto once knew, in the time of the Brotherhood. Codename: Blob. Blob scowls at him but Magneto doesn’t dwell on this, for he has more important matters to attend to than an old ‘colleague’ or two.

Erik glides casually under the entrance, after the heavy dripping stops. Behind the gate: a slum, of sorts. It appears a bit more like a junkyard from a distance. Old, torn-up mattresses and forgotten furniture litters the sloped sides of the slimey corridor. To the left and right: Mutants, of all shape and size. Erik makes his way down the central path, and gains the gaze of every man, woman and child living there. In honesty, it looks more like a battlefield trench than an sort of living quarters.

As he moves along, keeping himself a half meter above the ground on his metal disc, the people he passes drop what they're doing and follow him. He can hear them whispering behind him; “Is that the Magneto?”, “I thought he was dead”, “What is he doing here?”

Reaching a more central, open area, he raises himself up higher and waits for the remainder of the Mutants to congratulate. Under normal circumstances, he would more likely have been met with some sizeable hostility. These are abnormal times, however. And so a little hesitantly, he begins his address to the crowd, hoping it doesn’t descend into a mob.

“My fellow Mutants, brothers and sisters, I am -”

“-Yo, we don't want you here. You only make things worse”, a young, green mutant interrupts.

“The last time you came knockin’, half of us ended up in prison after tryna sabotage that rocket!” Toad yells from the front of the crowd.

“My child, I come with a proposal. In case you haven't noticed, our entire Mutant society is at risk of total annihilation. I’m sure you can guess what that means...”

The chatter silences. He has their attention now, and with a little more comfortability, Erik continues.

“Reverend William Stryker is the face of Mutant Oppression, and I can NOT take him on alone. I believe he has joined forces with a military contractor named Bolivar Trask, and together they are forming an army to wipe us all out! I ask not for you to help me, but to instead help yourselves and help our species. In case you haven’t noticed, he’s been kidnapping more and more mutants, likely for… experiments, of some kind. We MUST kill Stryker, and we must do it UNITED”

He spots some moderate nodding from the Morlocks - a good sign. He always has a plan, and this one is working… so far.

“What do you say? Join with me, this one time? Save our selves and our mutant brothers and sisters who have been taken from us!”

The crowd look agitated now. He can tell they want to fight.

“Magneto…” a woman’s voice echoes in the tunnel. Callisto, leader of the Morlocks, steps forward with her black trenchcoat wading through the thick layer of sludge that covers the floor.

“You are not one of us. You don’t live like we do, or have suffered like we have. If you aren’t here to join our ranks, I’m going to have to ask you to leave right away” She says, pulling her knives out of her sleeves.

There is a tense moment, many of Magneto’s new followers unsure where their allegiance now lies.

“Now now, Callisto… It’s alright...” Magento replies, and begins to glide away. Behind him, he hears a group of Morlocks following him out the door. He turns to see Toad, Blob, Marrow and 3 other angry Mutants walking behind him.

“I got just what I came for anyway…” he utters to himself.

Name: Vlad Grigore.

Codename: Ogre.

Abilities: Able to grow in size and gain super strength in doing so.

Nationality: Romanian (Transylvania).

Short Bio: Spent most of his time running and hiding from society as he believed himself a freak. His time with the Falcons has given him self confidence and worth, particularly with his best friend Charger.

Name: Brian Goldman

Codename: Charger.

Abilities: Super size, Super strength and he’s part Rhino.

Nationality: American (Brooklyn, New York).

Short Bio: Previously a cab driver from Brooklyn, New York, he has an edgy attitude and has always been larger than your average man. For reasons unknown, he started to grow, and grow, and grow. His face changed and he grew a horn. Doc believes it was a mutation that had been dormant within him but was activated due to the stress of being a New York cab driver.

Both Ogre and Charger are avid American Wrestling fans as is obvious by their chosen fighting style. Charger often runs commentary for the pair when they undertake any missions!

Attack Helicopter MIL-Mi-35/24v -- Kampfhubschrauber, NATO Codename: Hind

After hearing the news report, I head out to the crime scene. Hopefully I can find some answers to who this "assassin" character is. As I head out the door, I see Tamara coming back from her run. She waves when she notices that I'm there, and walks over to me.

Tamara: "Hey! Where are you off to in such a rush?"

Chris: "I'm heading off to a crime scene. It seems that the serial killer codenamed 'assassin' has added another to his kill count. Mom knew this woman. So I got to learn more about this killer. He made this personal, and I need to stop him once and for all."

Tamara: "He calls himself assassin? What kind of lame name is that? Scum like that are just asking to get pummelled. Ok well I'll come along too, though I have to change first. You probably should too, as jeans and a t-shirt doesn't count as a costume..." She laughs when saying that last remark.

Chris: "Yea uh ok."

I float back into my room through the window. I put on my costume and wait outside for Tamara. A few minutes later, I see Tamara exit the house, with her hair all spiked up.

Tamara: "Alright, let's go!"

Chris: "Up up and away we go!" I say enthusiastically as my feet leave the grass.

It's sunny days like these where flying through the city of Leavenworth reminds me of flying through Astro City. Very peaceful and soothing to the soul. Ahh it brings me back.... Unlike Astro City though, there are these powerful winds that happen now and then. I still feel its chill somehow. It's a weird but refreshing feeling. I admire the view a little too much, and end up in the wrong neighbourhood. So it takes us a little longer than I thought it would, but we finally arrive at the crime scene. Looking around you see the usual police officers questioning the neighbours, and the bright yellow tape blocking entry to the house. Me and Tamara float down to the sidewalk in front of the house.

A couple of the officers see us and walk towards us as we move past the yellow tape to go inside the house.

Officer 1: "This is a crime scene, you aren't allowed to be in here."

Officer 2: "Smith, it's those supers that helped out with the riots.. Show some respect man.."

While they are talking, I focus my hearing to the officers inside. Just one of the many great perks of having super hearing..

Officer 3: "Victim's name is Vivian Lancaster. There are 4 gunshot wounds. One to the head, one to the chest area, and one to both of her knees.. Overkill much?"

Officer Jennings: "Yeah well that is the killers M.O. He's still following his pattern of targeting people living in the Huntington neighbourhood. Maybe we should keep a squad car here tonight just incase he wants to try anything.."

Officer 3: "Good idea sir."

I zone back in with smith and the other officer looking at me weirdly..

Smith: "Well? Get lost!" His voice bellows while he is yelling at me.

Chris: "Ok ok.. I got what I came for anyway..." I say with a smirk.

Tamara: "Really?! We came here, and now we're just leaving.... What the heck Chris?"

Chris: "Don't worry I'll explain on the way.."

Tamara: "Mkay.." She replies with a small frown.

We fly off, and I start to tell Tamara what heard minutes earlier.

Tamara: "All this and we aren't doing anything about it? C'monn..."

Chris: "Tonight we come back and stake out the neighbourhood, and see if he shows up. Until then though, you have to go.. It's your first day at the diner.. Don't want to be late on your first day for the new job!"

Tamara: "Yeah, you didn't have to remind me of that.. Not looking forward to it though.. First days always seem to go wrong. Anyways, I'll see you later Chris."

Chris: "See ya later Tamara! Hope you have a good time! Meet you back here when you finish your shift."

END

Thanks for reading, I hope you all like it. It is a lengthy issue I know, and still isn't at the fight, don't worry, that will come.. The next few issues are a little bit shorter, so stay with me here :D.

Full name: Lucien Jean-Claude Fenwick

Aliases: Luc, The Elf, Pointear, Altitude (past codenames)

Age: 28

Nationality: French-Australian

Born: Luc was born in Cambodia to the elven community, but they were all forced to migrate at one point due to ongoing wars when he was 4. As he grew up, he moved to Australia, alternating between France, where his maternal grandparents/side was from. Luc studded magic mostly from his father, who homeschooled him until he was 9 and was sent to boarding school, and he had tough time fitting in but managed to find his way. After spending 5 years of high school in France, he returned to Australia and attended Monash University, taking a double degree in chemistry and sociology but dropped out in his third year.

Luc was eventually approached by a group of humans, orc and other species alike, working as a chemist across Australia. While his reputation was rising, Luc’s teammates started to die one by one on missions, as he took their names, and soon the group was reduced to himself left. He moved to Vietnam to atone himself and made a living as a human resources assistant for two years, before the Black Death and supernatural forces emerged. Luc escaped back to France and was eventually recruited by a new group with connections to his past, vowing to help stop the continuing chaos.

Personality, powers and abilities: Charming, calculated and thoughtful, with some sense of humour. Luc’s power involves teleportation, including objects and his own clothes, enhanced immunity, speed, dexterity and reflexes. This build is the result of a cannibalized torso from an old moc. Starting from the torso, I build the shoulder pads and had a rough idea of the overall aesthetic of the character. It took some trial and error, but I think the design is sleek and kind of clean without being too simple. I especially like the leg design.

I am Natalia Romanoff. Ex-KGB, now American assassin.

Codename: Black Widow, the only survivor of the Black Widow cloning project.

You see, I now work for SHIELD, America's own private bodyguard. I do not like them, nor do I dislike them. I simply do my job.

Something I enjoy doing very, very much.

My latest mission has brought me to Prague, where a Russian arms dealer, Anatoli Kalugin, is waiting for his latest customer, who is secretly an undercover agent of SHIELD. Kalugin has been selling weapons to HYDRA, a terrorist organization that spans decades.

I am positioned across from the Hotel suite where the deal is meant to take place, with my standard-issue SHIELD sniper on the balcony. I remain in contact with the other members of my taskforce through my radio.

"Sword in position, over."

"Copy. Aegis 2, 3, and 4 in position, over."

"Widow in position, over."

I place the sniper on the edge of the roof, clipping the bipod to the concrete. The false buyer enters the room and shakes Kalugin's hand, then proceeding to sit down on the chairs in the middle of the room.

"Widow, stand by for the go, over."

"Acknowledged, over.

Our agent opens a briefcase, showing Kalugin the (traceable) money inside. The latter turns around and nods to his henchmen, who hands him a briefcase, to which he unlocks with a special key. He hands the closed suitcase to our agent, who gets ready to open it.

"Sword, we're picking up mines in the case. Do not open it. I repeat, do not open the suitcase."

Hearing this, I press my eye against the scope of my gun and hold my breath, aiming for Kalugin's head, waiting for the signal.

Our agent looks up at the arms dealer, knowing that the latter knows of our plan.

"Widow, take the shot, over."

Responding quickly, I squeeze the trigger, and Kalugin falls to the ground in a shower of red. One of the bodyguards is fast enough to pull a gun and shoot our agent in the chest, so I leap off the building and crash through the hotel room's window. One of them try to whip me with the butt of his pistol, but I counter and shoot him in the stomach with his own weapon. The other attempts to shoot me, but I knock his gun away, break his arm, and flip him over my shoulder. The other SHIELD agents burst in the room, scanning for other enemies. One kneels down and begins to bandage the other agent's wound.

"Good work, Romanoff."

"Please, call me Black Widow."

"Right....Fury has a message for you."

"What has he said?"

"He said he wanted you to meet your new partner, someone by the name of Tony Stark?"

Now all I need is the Mark I and I'm all set... =D

With the arrival of the Olifant in Samaria, the engineers of the Samarian Ordnance Corps finally had access to a design that was decent enough to further develop into an indigenous design. The project was given the codename Raam (רעם/Thunder), as the new tank was supposed to be faster than the Piyl, the Samarian version of the Olifant.

Lacking any significant experience in actual tank design, help from the outside was quickly sought in Die Wêreldryk, where the Olifant was designed. Further aid came from the Nordic Union, that was generous enough to send a team of engineers that had worked on the Stridsvagn 101, in response to the Samarian request. The vast knowledge and skill of all these engineers was just what the Ordnance Corps needed, and design work on the new tanks progressed swiftly. With high speed in mind, a very powerful engine was developed under the name Sufa (סופה/Whirlwind), specifically for this project. The 105 mm gun from the Piyl was adapted and given a shorter barrel, just like the L7 on the Strv 101. It was only marginally less accurate than the one on the Piyl, but shared the same punching power, making it quite the competitive gun. Secondary armament was also similar to the Piyl, consisting of a co-axially mounted and a pintle-mounted 12.7 mm heavy machine gun. The final result was a machine that looked quite similar to the Nordic Strv 101, but with lots of technology from the Afrikaanse Olifant, and was dubbed Sho’t (שוט/Whip).

Testing showed that the top speed was an impressive 67.5 km/h on dirt roads, with performance in sand dropping to only about 56 km/h. Armour was not deemed very important, as the latest rounds could penetrate almost everything. To cut costs and reduce training, Thermal sights and IR sights were left out, limiting the Sho’t to daytime operations only, or clear nights with plenty of moonlight. This was compensated by the Piyl’s excellent range and ability to fight at night. Testing showed that the engine was prone to overheating, but this was fixed in the production model, with the installation of the improved Sufa IV engine. Crew comfort was also not excellent by any standards. The seats were tiny and rock-hard, the driver would often bang his elbow against the ammo rack that was right next to him when shifting, the gunner didn’t have much room, nor a personal hatch, …

In service, crews were not that bothered by the lack of comfort. The reliable Sufa IV needed little maintenance, as did the rest of the tank. Proving to be a reliable and hard-hitting weapon, it was used to great effect during the Tiran Crisis, aided by the long-range fire support from the Piyls. The fast Sho’ts utilized flanking manoeuvres, and took advantage of gaps created by the Piyls, confusing and wreaking havoc among the Anbat forces and allowing the Piyls to move up and take over strategic locations.Just like the Piyls, the Sho’ts were regularly updated with new optics, new turret rotating mechanism, a new gun stabiliser and a new fire-control system.

The latest plans to further extend the service life of the Sho’t is the addition of Pullover ERA, to give it a fighting chance against the man-portable ATGMs that are becoming more and more common.

This picture shows a typical Sho’t during an operation. The crew has loaded it up with personal belongings, rations, spare parts and a log to free them in case they get stuck.

MKSG The X-Men: Survival - Issue #3

Basement of X-Mansion

“You ready, Kitty?” asks Peter, reassuringly. Last time they trained in the Danger Room… well it didn't go as planned. They're a lot stronger and better prepared this time though, or at least that's what the pair of them had told Mr. Summers to convince him to let them do this.

“Yep, let's do it” she replies with some false confidence, as Bobby swaggers over to the couple.

“Alright, Kurt and I are in there with you, Ororo, Scott and Illyana will be watching and assessing your performance. Let's get out there and show them what we've got, as a team, yeah?” says Bobby.

“Sure thing, ‘Iceman’” Kitty replies with a smirk. She wished she had an official codename, but only field operatives receive them, which is what her and Peter were training to become. Having lost Warren and Hank, the X-Men were a little short handed these days, and ‘Shadowcat’ and ‘Colossus’ were feeling ready to join the ranks.

They geared up; ‘Iceman’, ‘Shadowcat’ and ‘Colossus’ were to think on their feet to remove an unknown threat and also save Kurt, who was playing the hostage. Up in the observation deck, Scott is excited to unleash his design upon the team, that he's been working on for several months now. Beside him resides Headmistress Ororo Munroe, who remembers far back when she first used the Danger Room, along with Scott, Hank, Jean, Bobby, Warren and, of course, Professor Xavier. It was to help train his team of extraordinary students to defend against threats to Mutant-kind and humans alike, if it came to that.

5… 4… 3… 2…1… BEEP!

The X-Men burst into the room and take offence positions, but see nothing threatening initially. Kitty spots Kurt hanging from the ceiling in a cramped metal cage, electricity running through the bars. It must be stopping him using his powers, she figures. Her objective is to rescue Kurt while Bobby and Peter neutralise the hostile. She spots a generator connected to the cage, but as she’s about to point this out, something humongous and robotic crashes down on top of them all!

Kitty and Bobby fall over dramatically, then scramble to their feet. Peter also gets knocked back but remains steady. He’s the first to retaliate against the foe. He armours himself up as he slams into one of the creatures 8 mechanical legs and yanks it with all his considerable might. Metal meets metal, and an extremely loud screeching sound happens as the leg is torn from its hinges.

“Damn, Pete” exclaims Scott, while Ororo smirks. She has more confidence in the team's ability than most.

“Yes!” Illyanna says under her breath, cheering for her brother, not that he’d be able to hear her.

The team regain attack formation as the Spider-like beast circles around for a second attack, scuttling around the walls and defending it’s hostage. Oil and mechanical pieces are leaking from it's severed limb. They get a better look at the giant critter of Scott's creation. It's not purely a spider. It has the body of a man attached to the torso of an 8, well… 7, legged being.

“Drider…” Bobby exclaims, mildly surprised. “Really Scotty?” he shouts towards the observation deck. “D&D creatures again?”

Scott chuckles at this, but straightens his face to tell him: “Focus on your objective, Bobby” through the speaker. “Do I need to remind you what that is?”

“No need to be a…!”

*THUMP*

The drider whacks Bobby across the room with it’s extended tail before he can finish his retort.

Kitty watches as Peter attacks before the Drider can reach Bobby, who is lying on the floor half-dazed. She’s very glad to not be on the offensive for this exercise. Her mission is hostage extraction, not to deal this horrible spiders. She sprints over to the generator she previously spotted and figures it's easy enough.

‘I’ve just gotta phase into the generator, disable it, open the cage and save the elf’

However, as she attempts to reach into the generator, her fingertips are met with warm, humming metal. She can’t phase through.

‘Scott is probably so smug right now’ she thinks bitterly, glaring upwards at the observation deck. Sure enough, Scott notices her, as does Ororo, who glances over at him.

“What did you do Scott?” Ororo inquires.

“Little bit of reverse engineering of her powers. It’s not very nice, I know, but they won’t get liberties in the field”Scott replies, just a little bit proud of his mechanical accomplishments.

Beside them, Illyanna is engrossed by the fight. Bobby and Peter have taken to the tactic of freezing the Drider’s limbs, then smashing them off with ease. Their only problem: Getting the damn thing to stay still. Kitty, searching her mind for ideas of how to rescue Kurt, see what her teammates are attempting to do.

‘Freezing the metal then crushing it will destroy it, huh?’, she thinks to herself, sparking an idea in her head.

“Hey”, she yells at her team. “Let it come get me!”

Peter has the thing in headlock when he hears her call. “We’ve got this!” he calls back.

“Guys!” Kitty yells over the mechanical screeching of the creature trying to break free. “YOU need to save Kurt, and destroy that!” she shouts as she gestures heavily towards the power generator.

A little unsure, Peter and Bobby look at each other to confide, but as then do, Peter accidentally loosens his grip and Bobby isn’t fully focused. The drider breaks free of them both and with a swift *SWISH* of its tail, swipes them across the room towards Kurt and the generator. As this happens, Kitty runs right into the middle of the room.

“Come at me!” she yells, antagonistically. “I really hope this works”, she mutters, as the drider turns to face her.

Getting to their feet, Bobby and Peter are reluctant to leave the drider to Kitty alone, but they realise her plan. Bobby begins smothering the generator with a layer of hard ice and reassures Kurt, shouting “We’re coming for ya buddy!” in his typical, overly-positive tone.

Meanwhile, Peter can only watch in horror as the Drider makes its aggressive charge for Kitty. As it’s approaching her, she prepares herself, counting down in her head the distance.

‘Okay 20m, 10m, now 5m, oh god 2m!’

“No!” shouts Peter desperately, positive that the Drider just crushed her. The Drider continues at full speed, directly into the opposing wall, making a colossal crash and magnificently exploding into a thousand nuts and bolts.

For a moment, even Ororo is thinking the worst. However, as some of the debris and smoke clears, Kitty is standing just where she was stood, completely unscathed.

‘She phased through, of course!’ Peter realises, just as Bobby yells “Now!” and Peter runs and jumps onto the generator.

*CRACKK*

With a colossal punch, Peter cracks all the ice and the machine that it encompassed. The electricity fizzling through the metal bars of the cage halts.

“Yay! Woohoo!” Ilyanna shouts, jumping up and down and clapping for their victory. Ororo and Scott also feel very proud of their teams accomplishment, not that Scott necessarily show it.

Peter runs over to Kitty at speed and picks her up with a giant hug.

“I almost thought I’d lost you” he caringly says.

“I’m not going anywhere” she responds.

They both hear a familiar *BAMF* and then feel Kurt’s arms and tail encompassing them both.

“Nice job, you guys” the fuzzy blue man says with his thick German accent.

“Thanks, Elf” Kitty replies softly.

The Antonov An-124 Ruslan (Ukrainian: Антонов Ан-124 Руслан, lit. 'Ruslan'; NATO reporting name: Condor) is a large, strategic airlift, four-engined aircraft that was designed in the 1980s by the Antonov design bureau in the Ukrainian SSR, then part of the Soviet Union (USSR). Until the Boeing 747-8F, the An-124 was, for thirty years, the world's heaviest gross weight production cargo airplane and second heaviest operating cargo aircraft, behind the one-off Antonov An-225 Mriya (a greatly enlarged design based on the An-124).[5] The An-124 remains the largest military transport aircraft in current service.[6] The lead designer of the An-124 (and the An-225) was Viktor Tolmachev.

NATO initially gave it 'FALCON' as a codename, which seems more appropriate. It was thought that Falcon was too complimentary though, so they changed it to Fagot, which certainly wasn't.

My LEGO Iron Man Hulkbuster MOC has been brought straight out of 2015's biggest blockbuster 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron.' The Hulkbuster is fan-favourite from Stark's hall of armour.

The Mark XLIV Armour (codenamed Veronica, also known as the Hulkbuster) is Tony Stark's forty-fourth Iron Man suit. The suit was designed to match the incredible strength of the Hulk should he ever need to be taken out, being powered by over eleven Arc Reactors in order to grant the strength required for such a task. It's a modular suit this is operated from within while being linked to the Mark XLIII Armour. Using an independent propulsion system, each limb can fly to the user and automatically assemble into being composed of individual parts, the XLIV is still able to sustain extreme damage from the Hulk, unlike the XLII.

Iron Man strides forward to grapple with the green-skinned Avenger, leg pistons cranking and his right arm stretching out to make contact. While the resemblance to the classic Iron Man armour is readily apparent (especially in the dark red and pearl gold colour scheme), the Hulkbuster takes it to a whole new level with a towering frame, thick armour plating. The Iron Man Hulkbuster stands nearly over twice the size of the Hulk bigfig to tower over his allies and enemies alike. Stark's latest and greatest battle suit lumbers across a brick-like display base, punishing the ground with it's terrible weight. I believe the Hulkbuster is one of the most impressive display pieces I've ever designed.

This Hulkbuster MOC started when the initial pictures of the 'LEGO Marvel, Super Heroes - The Hulkbuster Smash' set were released. I understand that LEGO has to make their sets study and have plenty of play features to keep the kids entertained but as a movie accurate model it wasn't quite right: too simple and bulky. From then on I set myself a task to build a definitive Hulkbuster using the printed dome that is included.

My first goal was to get it in scale with the Hulk bigfig however when I approached the end of the design process I realised that it was slightly shorter than the LEGO Hulkbuster. After having a look at a few other LEGO Hulkbuster MOC's I realised that when using the printed dome piece at the scale of the Hulk would make the final model look chibi and not realistic; therefore I stuck with my outcome.

The inspiration for the presentation of the final model came from Kotobukiya's model statues of the Hulkbuster and the Hulk based on 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' movie. I was originally going to just use the Hulkbuster since the Hulk bigfig is way too small and has very limited movement. I guess putting it in context and pairing it up with the Hulk bigfig creates a fierce battle scene!

Credit and a big thank you goes to Hot Toys for providing extensive views and details of their movie accurate model of the Hulkbuster which made possible to get it movie accurate as I could.

Normandy (French: Normandie, Norman: Normaundie, from Old French Normanz, plural of Normant, originally from the word for "northman" in several Scandinavian languages) is one of the 18 regions of France, roughly referring to the historical Duchy of Normandy.

Normandy is divided into five administrative departments: Calvados, Eure, Manche, Orne, and Seine-Maritime. It covers 30,627 square kilometres (11,825 sq mi), comprising roughly 5% of the territory of metropolitan France. Its population of 3.37 million accounts for around 5% of the population of France. The inhabitants of Normandy are known as Normans, and the region is the historic homeland of the Norman language.

The historical region of Normandy comprised the present-day region of Normandy, as well as small areas now part of the departments of Mayenne and Sarthe. The Channel Islands (French: Îles Anglo-Normandes) are also historically part of Normandy; they cover 194 km² and comprise two bailiwicks: Guernsey and Jersey, which are British Crown dependencies over which Queen Elizabeth II reigns as Duke of Normandy.

Normandy's name comes from the settlement of the territory by mainly Danish and Norwegian Vikings ("Northmen") from the 9th century, and confirmed by treaty in the 10th century between King Charles III of France and the Viking jarl Rollo. For a century and a half following the Norman conquest of England in 1066, Normandy and England were linked by Norman and Frankish rulers.

The Normandy landings were the landing operations on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history. The operation began the liberation of German-occupied France (and later Europe) from Nazi control, and laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front.

Planning for the operation began in 1943. In the months leading up to the invasion, the Allies conducted a substantial military deception, codenamed Operation Bodyguard, to mislead the Germans as to the date and location of the main Allied landings. The weather on D-Day was far from ideal and the operation had to be delayed 24 hours; a further postponement would have meant a delay of at least two weeks as the invasion planners had requirements for the phase of the moon, the tides, and the time of day that meant only a few days each month were deemed suitable. Adolf Hitler placed German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in command of German forces and of developing fortifications along the Atlantic Wall in anticipation of an Allied invasion.

The amphibious landings were preceded by extensive aerial and naval bombardment and an airborne assault—the landing of 24,000 US, British, and Canadian airborne troops shortly after midnight. Allied infantry and armoured divisions began landing on the coast of France at 06:30. The target 50-mile (80 km) stretch of the Normandy coast was divided into five sectors: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. Strong winds blew the landing craft east of their intended positions, particularly at Utah and Omaha. The men landed under heavy fire from gun emplacements overlooking the beaches, and the shore was mined and covered with obstacles such as wooden stakes, metal tripods, and barbed wire, making the work of the beach-clearing teams difficult and dangerous. Casualties were heaviest at Omaha, with its high cliffs. At Gold, Juno, and Sword, several fortified towns were cleared in house-to-house fighting, and two major gun emplacements at Gold were disabled, using specialised tanks.

The Allies failed to achieve any of their goals on the first day. Carentan, St. Lô, and Bayeux remained in German hands, and Caen, a major objective, was not captured until 21 July. Only two of the beaches (Juno and Gold) were linked on the first day, and all five beachheads were not connected until 12 June; however, the operation gained a foothold which the Allies gradually expanded over the coming months. German casualties on D-Day have been estimated at 4,000 to 9,000 men. Allied casualties were at least 10,000, with 4,414 confirmed dead.

Museums, memorials, and war cemeteries in the area now host many visitors each year.

The Longues-sur-Mer battery (in German: Marineküstenbatterie (MKB) Longues-sur-Mer) was a World War II German artillery battery constructed near the French village of Longues-sur-Mer in Normandy. The battery was sited on a 60 m (200 ft) cliff overlooking the sea and formed a part of Germany's Atlantic Wall coastal fortifications. It was located between the Allied landing beaches of Gold and Omaha and shelled both beaches on D-Day (6 June 1944). The battery was captured on June 7 and played no further part in the Normandy campaign.

The battery is the only one in Normandy to retain all its original guns in situ and was listed an historical monument in October 2001. It remains in a good state of conservation.

Don't usually bother with breakdown pics but was pretty pleased with the connections on the back.
