...and they are thin, tall and sexy!

...she came to shake the quiet waters of the Penthouse with her charming existence,

...and the only reason she's allowed to live here, in this happy menage a trois, is that she's....a table!

Young, fresh & well preserved despite her being born in the 50s, she has a shiny glass surface and she celebrates mild curves in all of her existence!

We both love her too much to list on the shop, but one must also earn a living in this life somehow, right?

So we decided to keep her with us and give her shelter, until a new loving, stylish home is found for her.

This one is for my Dad. We used to talk every day, and many evenings we would sit on the back deck and look out over the valley and share a bottle of something decent. One of our favorites was this nice young port from Four Vines. This is the last bottle that I bought for him on his last birthday and I guess I am going to drink it myself.

I know I have not been on Flickr much, and I have not taken as many photos each week as I usually do, but I am trying to be more active with my creative outlet, so Hopefully I will post in a more regular pattern.

Day 28 of self-isolation. Marcus has no idea what day of the week it is and is proud of that fact. He has now reverted to a more primordial being. Self grooming was scaled back and has now stopped entirely. His beard is taking on a life of it's own and his untamed afro is becoming more voluminous by the hour. Reality has ceased being real. His primary concerns now are hunter-gathering, sleeping and watching television. In that order. Most conversations take place in his head. He'd quite like to know when this is all going to end so he can plan accordingly. It's 11.45am however so he's only got 15 minutes to prepare for cocktail hour and he doesn't want to miss the 2 for 1 promo deal...

As a side note Marcus' hair extension was surprisingly time consuming to create considering it's just a big bit of spray painted paper. Luckily time is currently the one thing I do have plenty of. I think I've taken Marcus as far as he can go. Time for a whitewash...

About once a month i go to a social meetup called Cocktail Hour where we order a nice drink and socialize at the Familjen resturant.

This drink consists of Lingonberry juice, lingonberrys and vodka.

The whitebalance in the room helped the picture to look great from the start!

...definetly Yes!....too many pieces of furniture, still optically saved by the whiteness of the space & the overall minimalism.

But in a few square meters apartment, every single centimeter of surface is needed, especially when crafters and avid readers inhabit the place...ok...we could make a pile of books on the floor...but then again...this is just a temporary installation and we are kind of enjoying the crazyness of it...for a while.

Fire and Ice...and cocktail-hour appetizers!

Great to be back and enjoying the weather again on the terrace along with a nice Chard.

...a curved triangle shape symbolises in my eyes both strength and softness....

This is why I find this table named "Coctail hour" to be both delicate and a statement.

A perfect July 3rd drink for a summer evening.

This is his favourite reading corner....but the glasses are mine, as this was a fake set up for the photo shooting...emm, it'd also look a little tiny bit more messy, had it been a real documentation! Yiap!...so are things around here....

We've settled in nicely to our holiday apartment this week and tonight started our evening with some cocktails on the terrace.. The local specialty is the "Caipirinha" which is a cane sugar rum, limes, cane sugar and ice..

They're rather yummy and have given me my shot for this weeks theme "Emotion"... Let's call it Happiness!

A perfect moment of gastronomic theater at The Yeatman in Porto, where haute cuisine collides with pure fun. The scene begins with a jewel-toned cocktail, sparkling ruby red in cut crystal, condensation hinting at its chilled perfection. On either side, whimsical bites play with color, form, and flavor — one a tiny meringue crowned with salmon and edible blossoms, the other a delicate tartlet dotted with citrus pearls and crowned with a pink flower. More than food, it’s edible art, balanced between precision and play. Dining here feels less like a meal and more like a performance — intimate, luxurious, and unforgettable.

Some nights call for a touch of Maker's Mark to put a very smooth edge on the day. Thankfully the fine folks at Makers ship this wonderful nectar around the world for us to enjoy.

My submission for week 15/52 of the 2010 Challenge. The theme is "DOWN LOW".

The first reason this shot qualifies for the theme is that my drink here is obviously getting kinda down low, and could use a refill. A second reason is that the sun was getting down low in the sky, which was, indeed, my signal that cocktail hour had begun in the first place. (And there's the angle on the glass.)

Looks much better if you View On Black.
