Limerol Cocktail is to make it a cocktail Susy . Just mash the whole container of watermelon. Absolutely delicious. Very tart and sweet

We kicked off vacation in style with frozen-sangria-mixed-with-frozen-margarita swirls at Uncle Julio's. That, of course, didn't preclude ordering two cocktails apiece at dinner. Being that this is Texas, two of them included muddle jalapenos. Caliente! And delicious!

up close is a Jalapena-rita made with jalapeno, fresh lemon and lime juice, and reposado tequila
in back is a Blood Orange Fizz with fresh blood orange, Meyer's Dark Rum, and rosemary infused spirit

Taken at the recent Bromley "Flowers and Sugar" show that my local Sugarcraft Club competed in.
This is a wonderful biennial show combining exhibits from both Sugarcraft Clubs and Floral Art Clubs who each compete in their own sections, although the individual competition tables are intermingled. Sugar flowers and the real thing look really great side by side and I don't think many shows do this.
I totally fell in love with one Floral Art Club's exhibit entitled "Cocktails at 6", where most of the arrangements were done in cocktail glasses. All were in the most wonderful vibrant colours with added crystals and jewels and displayed against a black backdrop with tiny star lights ...... magical ! This one had bright green marbles in the glass.
So simple and effective, I thought they would make the most wonderful table decorations for a wedding !
Was in a festive mood and wanted to shoot some Christmas lights and a bit of bokeh.

My cocktail dress is a strapless design, which is very comfortable on warm days. The dress has a lace-up closure at the back so it always fits well and doesn't tend to slide down once I have it on. The bodice looks nice and is decorated with lots of sparkly beads. The real eye-catcher is the cute fluffy miniskirt in a white, pink and red color combination. The dress shows my legs well and combines great with white stockings.
This dress is of the brand Grace Karin. I have more dresses of this brand; maybe not super top quality but very affordable and certainly very feminine and pretty.

First thing after arriving at our hotel, grab a cocktail at the reggae bar in one of the alleys near Khao San Rd. Nice opportunity to put the low light and bokeh capabilities of the X100 at work. Cheers!

I played bartender this evening and tried to recreate a thyme iced tea cocktail that I had at Heneritta's Kitchen last week. I don't know if I recreated theirs, but I made one of my own that is delish.
I am waiting for my daughter and her friend to stop chattering and go to sleep. I am also waiting for my son to settle down. My son reached the Truth about Santa and the Tooth Fairy today. A sad milestone for me.
So here's to youth and how quickly it passes.
