I think these are Colt Navy Revolvers 1851 pattern, possibly produced in Britain at the Colt London Armory. The hammer of the pistol in the middle of the frame is at 'half cock'.

About the Breed

She was passed up by all rescues due to her head tilt issues and double ear infections.
We took her to surgery where the vet dug out three very old foxtails which had been in her ear for months. Dirty, matted and head titled , she will take some time to heal. Fox tails are out and she has been spayed but her head is still tilted.
She is on antibiotics and may need further tests/surgery to correct.
She came from Kern county, California on February 9th, 2012.

They may be very common, but I always love seeing a beautiful pheasant like this. Their feathers are so colourful and exotic compared to most of our birds. This one was strutting around under the bird feeders at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust reserve in Arundel. Despite the low light under the trees he positively glowed!
The sticker on the electrical box reads: "One of Britain's Rudest Places".

I was surprised that the hen wasn't camera shy at all. In fact it was curious to see what was going on!
