I'm just getting these surfaces sealed and ready to prime before the foredeck sheets go on because it is so much easier to access these detailed surfaces before that happens.
Either side of the tabernakle you can see the original noches are still there from the coaming stringer as it appears on the plans. If you are following the designed foredeck shape in your build, don't be confused by these different shapes.
Meanwhile the anchor well and the large compartment are getting regular coatings of paint so that when its all covered and I'm worried about a monster swamping I'll feel confident that if water gets in there it won't penetrate the timber and that's good because I won't be able to penetrate the compartment once the deck is on...
The powdered sugar coating on these doesn't last long if the agates are washed around in the surf and leaves clear, nondescript ovoid nodules.

The strung beads fit together tightly and create an interlocking zip effect. Six beads connected in a circle can easily be used to create an application in the shape of a flat flower which is a suitable accessory for seed bead embroidery. Thanks to its small protrusion, this bead is an excellent accessory to the two-hole PRECIOSA Twin™ beads and seed beads, like PRECIOSA Solo™.

Luminescence
The first body of work in the Lumen series focuses on luminescence.
This work primarily investigates light using electroluminescent (EL) wire. A current is passed through a copper wire causing the surrounding phosphor coating to emit light. The wire was wrapped around/within custom-made costumes worn by the model.
The model’s movements were then recorded, introducing a kinetic element. Images were also made using opaque and transparent mannequins.

Tate & Lyle Silvertown,

In 1859 Henry Tate (b.1819) went into partnership with a sugar refiner who had a refinery factory up in Liverpool.
Around the same time, a ship owner by the name of Abram Lyle (b.1820), who was making a living out of transporting raw sugar cane to the UK, bought his own sugar refinery up in Greenock-Scotland.
In 1878 Henry Tate expanded his sugar business by opening up a new refinery in East London-down by the River Thames in ‘Silvertown’-E16.
Meanwhile in 1883, Abram Lyle started a sugar smelting process at a new refinery he had opened down at Plaistow Wharf on the River Thames – just 1.5miles away from Tate’s factory.
Abram Lyle’s refinery process focussed on producing a treacle like syrup preserve called ‘Goldie’, that was sold in a distinctive green tin, with a lion on it – and was used for baking cakes or simply as a ‘spread’ on bread etc.
Even though their respective factories were almost next door to each other, Henry Tate and Abram Lyle actually despised each other and never met in person throughout their lifetimes.
Abram Lyle died in 1891, leaving his successful refining business to his sons.
Henry Tate died in 1899 and also passed his business on to his sons.
Henry Tate bequeathed a large portion of his wealth to many good causes in the East London area – and he left his large and valuable collection of fine art and paintings, to the nation – and this became the ‘Tate Gallery’ down in Pimlico, which is now known as ‘Tate Britain’.
Fast forward 20 years to the early 1920’s – the 2 rival sugar refineries eventually merged, and ‘Henry Tate & Sons’ and ‘Abram Lyle & Sons’ became the now globally recognised “Tate & Lyle” brand.
