Here are a few of the best strength training exercises that you can choose: squat, lunge, deadlift, bent-over row, BB and DB presses, dips, military press, pull-ups, etc.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - We all have coaches in our lives - people who help guide, teach and motivate us to be the best we can be. They are our parents, teachers, friends, and sports team coaches.

(www.softballperformance.com/players-eyes/)-Unfortunately, that's not how our players see us. To them we are the Great and Powerful Oz, with the ability to determine who gets the prize (playing time, all-conference, all-star team, etc.) and who gets shut out.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - You don’t have to be a good player to be a good coach. You can have limited experience as a player and still be effective as a coach if you are willing to learn what it takes to have a successful program and have a passion for doing so.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-success-tips-hardest/) - Therefore, in order to achieve softball success, you must be willing to do what others are not. You must be willing to put in the work, not just when you feel like it, but all the time, day in and day out.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Whether you are recruiting or competing, talk your own program up, Never Talk Down Your Competition.

You can go for a relaxing and stress-relieving massage or a sport massage which involve more aggressive deep-tissue work.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Learn What Each Player Needs for Motivation…… Everyone needs some kind of inspiration. For some, it is an in-your-face confrontation, but for others, it is lots of positive encouragement.

(www.softballperformance.com/) - Coaching children can be a really tough job. As a coach you have the responsibility to bring out the interest, enthusiasm and equip the children with the skills needed to excel in their chosen sport. So, what are the usual techniques in coaching children?

(www.softballperformance.com/) - And this is where it becomes a challenge to a coach—to make the game as enjoyable to the kids as possible and at the same time, learn about competition and discipline needed in playing sports.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Developing Leadership - Help people within your organization grow and develop and your organization will be better for it. Help your assistants know what their roles are and give them feedback about how they’re doing.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Have fun and don’t take yourself too seriously, but at the same time, work hard and believe passionately in what you’re doing!

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Tell Players What You Expect of Them and Keep On Telling Them! Just because you say it doesn’t mean they hear it.

www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-condit... - Stretch for 45-60 seconds. It has been shown that you have to hold a stretch for at least 45-60 seconds to make real significant gains in flexibility. For very tight muscles, try repeating a stretch 2 or 3 times.70. Stretch after every exercise session. Develop the habit of stretching on a regular basis; a better range of motion will help you prevent injuries and will also help increase your performance.

(www.softballperformance.com/) - At times, the coach-player relationship is further extended to being a coach not only in sports but in the player’s personal life as well.

www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-condit... - You’ll get better results by working your butt off on a bad program than you will loafing through a good program. There is no shortcut for hard work in the weight room.

Some stress is excellent but too much stress is highly detrimental. When you are stressed, the body released a hormone – cortisol – that will hinder the recovery process. Too much stress is often associated with lethargic period, lack of results in training and in competition.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Learn to Focus…. Our theme is to play the game the same way with the same intensity for every pitch of every game no matter who the opponent is. It doesn’t always happen, but it is a goal.

Don’t abuse the bench press. The bench press is a good upper body strength builder. However, abuse and overuse of this exercise to produce a lot of shoulder injuries. If your shoulder is not healthy, your performance will greatly suffer. Do it mostly to build strength whenever your do sets of 1 to 8 repetitions.

Stay away from machines. Machine training is not sport-specific at all. It doesn’t train the muscles the way they are used on the field. In other words, machine training doesn’t prepare your body to perform on the field. Instead, focus on bodyweight, free weight and stability ball exercises. However, there are a few exceptions: lat-pull down, the seated row and any cable exercises that involves more many muscles are good machine exercises.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Create a Family Atmosphere….. Do some fun things together. Gather at the coach’s house for a meal. Work at fund-raisers together. Volunteer together.

(www.softballperformance.com/players-eyes/)-The more I do it, though, the more I'm convinced that the issue isn't that the coach is mean, or an idiot, or whatever. It's that he/she doesn't see his/her actions or hear his/her words the way the players do.

(www.softballperformance.com/) - Sports coaches are key instruments in every team’s success. Coaches do not only give instructions to the team players but they also serve as their second parents in the playing field.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - Communicate all the time, with everyone Tell them how they’re doing, where they stand, what they need to do better, how you see their roles on the team. Be honest.

Your goal is to build an endurance base, not to become an elite marathon runner. Focus on building a solid base of aerobic endurance early in the off-season (2-3 months before the season), focus on building speed by doing sprints instead. Doing too much aerobic conditioning can be detrimental and hinder your ability to develop speed, strength and power.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/softball-coachi...) - What is coaching? It is a way of relating to people in order to help bring out the best in them.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/recovery-and-re...) - Active rest is an integral part of every successful athlete. (www.softballperformance.com/players-eyes/)-Each level of play has its own issues. At the younger ages (10U and below), a coach is pretty intimidating physically. Even if you're considered petite by others, to a 10 year old you may seem quite large. And bigger guys seem enormous. Throw in some yelling at them when they make a mistake and they're bound to be intimidated.

(www.softballperformance.com/players-eyes/)-So if, in a fit of frustration, you tell a player that she did awful and ought to think about whether she wants to play softball or not, it's not the motivational statement we intended it to be. Instead, it's a real question that can send a vulnerable teen or pre-teen or small child into a vortex of self-doubt.

(www.softballperformance.com/) - This will give the children an impression that sports is more than playing on the field; it takes a lot of effort and discipline to be good at what you do.

Don’t let temptations or obstacles get in the way of what you have to do. Be relentless about doing what you have to do to achieve your goals.

The goal of each workout is to get better. Try to set new records every workout. While it will not happen every time, it will force you to push yourself and work hard.

(www.softballperformance.com/softball-tips/recovery-and-re...) - Recent advances in the field of sleep research has shown that your body is programmed (from millions of years of evolution) to do most of its physical repair between 10:30 pm and 2:30 am and most of its psychological repair between 2:30 and 6:30 am (when you have your most intense dreams).
