Once again the drive thru was wrapped around the building, this time just after high noon on Monday, November 10, 2014. Next time I'll try and squeeze in the Kroger fuel center, in order to get pictures of the other side of the building. Not much else changed on the building during the remainder of the week, but what I thought was just a new concrete walkway in front is going to be something much more elaborate: maybe just a reworking of the handicap spaces, but hard to tell at this point.

There are many legitimate concerns motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians have about at-grade light rail operated in mixed traffic environments, like the Salt Lake City TRAX.
One of these concerns is the cluttered environment this light rail system brings.
Look at this picture and count how many instructional and warning signs there are.
1. Do not turn right (this is actually for the one-way street 10 feet west of the tracks).
2. Do not stop on tracks.
3. Pedestrians, stop here when red lights are flashing.
4. Look both ways (this one's hidden behind the no right turn sign).
5. Stop for trains.
It also clutters the built street environment.
Eventually, the residents and street users learn to coexist with the light rail train and the close calls, the collisions, the injuries and the deaths subside.

Endless clutter of keepsakes. Housed nicely on a California Job case.
As part of the VRF Decluttering Group, this is the first area I will take on. It may not look so bad (I mean, clean off the couch and there ya' go!) but the real challenge for me will be keeping in decluttered for when guests come by. And having to make instant decisions and deal with stuff immediately.

The backside of an old building in Chinatown that was in the news after pieces of debris fell onto the sidewalk a few days ago. Luckily, nobody got hurt.
One of my favorite aspects of a long zoom lens is how it can condense a whole lot into one picture.
Of course the danger of that is a cluttered picture, but in some cases (this one I hope) it can be used to show clutter where none really exists.
This was taken about a kilometre away from the university (upei). Anyone familiar with the campus can attest that it is not really this cluttered.

a cluttered alchemist type room. Based on various out of copyright images. I made this for an online game, but gave up due to Internet Explorer's memory leaks (it worked fine in other browsers, but half the world still used IE)
I was here to take advantage of the afternoon sky once again. I headed out for another loop of pond #2 on a less than perfect day as afternoon clouds were streaming in. The northwest corner of Pond #1 caught my eye and I wondered if I could separate the details into simplicity. I've stopped here before but was never satisfied; this may be as close as I get. I threw other alignments out. Other clouds were forming to the side that were to grow into storms to pound the plains. I headed between pond #2 and #3 as the clouds and took in the entire sky over the water. This day had skies that turned out less satisfying than others but what kind of weather can I expect? Gruff or bluff? Then we suffered bad skies for a couple of days just like the last two and my expectations are up. Today brought a partly milky sky in the morning that was hardly useable. It may be bringing a change. This is the capture of the early afternoon sky. I shot this when the spring greening really took hold. I know Kansas and Oklahoma are hoping for a change in weather in a spring that has been pretty satisfying over here.
Most of the foliage is peaking green by now. I made the most of the clouds and sky on the day. As always, I hope for some shade for my trek today.
I am out here at Golden Ponds, the Longmont, Boulder County greenbelt and rec area and I wanted to look for the possibility of changing locations. We are about a month after the longest day but the weather granted us an extended spring and better watershed... and West-Nile hatch. We just came off a couple day snow in the highlands. Generally, July is a safer month in the high Rockies. I wandered the green space and took some detail shots that were available,
