The Cluttered Desk begins the rebuilding process in its new home. It won't start out too cluttered. The cluttering process itself is a defining process.

Keeping up with the Silks

Time to donate some of that stuff to Savers!

This is a photo of today's cluttered work area. Teh sigh - gotta straighten things up soon. That seems to be a permanent item on the to-do list.

A narrow overflowing shop in Toronto, see if you can spot the shop owner!

Once again the drive thru was wrapped around the building, this time just after high noon on Monday, November 10, 2014. Next time I'll try and squeeze in the Kroger fuel center, in order to get pictures of the other side of the building. Not much else changed on the building during the remainder of the week, but what I thought was just a new concrete walkway in front is going to be something much more elaborate: maybe just a reworking of the handicap spaces, but hard to tell at this point.

There are many legitimate concerns motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians have about at-grade light rail operated in mixed traffic environments, like the Salt Lake City TRAX.

One of these concerns is the cluttered environment this light rail system brings.

Look at this picture and count how many instructional and warning signs there are.

1. Do not turn right (this is actually for the one-way street 10 feet west of the tracks).

2. Do not stop on tracks.

3. Pedestrians, stop here when red lights are flashing.

4. Look both ways (this one's hidden behind the no right turn sign).

5. Stop for trains.

It also clutters the built street environment.

Eventually, the residents and street users learn to coexist with the light rail train and the close calls, the collisions, the injuries and the deaths subside.

In progress, can't hurry rust!

Endless clutter of keepsakes. Housed nicely on a California Job case.

As part of the VRF Decluttering Group, this is the first area I will take on. It may not look so bad (I mean, clean off the couch and there ya' go!) but the real challenge for me will be keeping in decluttered for when guests come by. And having to make instant decisions and deal with stuff immediately.

One of my favorite aspects of a long zoom lens is how it can condense a whole lot into one picture.

Of course the danger of that is a cluttered picture, but in some cases (this one I hope) it can be used to show clutter where none really exists.

This was taken about a kilometre away from the university (upei). Anyone familiar with the campus can attest that it is not really this cluttered.

Tis my own little hell.
