Closeup of all that remains of a village destroyed by the Lupindo mud volcano created by incompetent oil drilling near Surabaya, Indonesia. Apparently the mud is 18 meters deep with new mud spewing out of the earth at a rate of 1 cubic meter per second and is estimated that it will take up to a hundred years for it to stop. No wonder there's so much begging in East Java...
I had to climb down into the ditch and cross the drainage stream to get up close to the clover. It was a test for my new knee.
