ab400 1/2 power about four feet above with 20 degree honeycomb grid (hair light)

I know it is the done thing to smooth the skin and touch-up but that's not her style and ! wanted to keep the freckles and her natural look. so kept the editing to a minimum.
Some story-related stuff I had in an old notebook (which I think ended up on my blog eventually). I kind of like the closeup of a single sentence on the page; it's neat.

Closeup of flower with Fuji X10. Crop from center of moderately larger image. One annoyance is that you can't use flash with extreme closeup - makes sense for the built in flash since the lens blocks it, but annoying you can't have a flash in the hot shoe in that situation.
Canon flash in hotshoe, bounced behind and to the side of flower.
Closeup of rear left fender. Probably not everyones cup-of-tea, but sometimes reality gets a little boring. Better to make your own creations now and then.
